Word Just need to know if the acer laptop comes equipped with word because it keeps asking me for a product number and i am not sure what this is

Acer do offer support/look up their telephone number.
Otherwise get an external cd/dvd drive and install suite this way,make sure drive is compatable with your machine.

Whenever it asks you for a pin number, key in a simple number, say 1, or 1234. it would ask if to connect automatically with device, click yes and it would never ask you for a pin number anymore.

You are most likely typing in the key for an incorrect edition of Windows. Make sure that you have installed the correct version that corresponds with the key on the back of your computer. A key for Windows 7 Home Premium will not work for a computer that has Windows 7 Professional installed and vice versa.

Microsoft Office is not necessarily included when you buy a laptop. Sometimes, they gave you just the trial version. Maybe that's the reason why you cannot activate it.

To be sure, try asking someone form where you buy that laptop if the MS Office that comes with it is a licensed version.

so please forgive my stab in the dark

i am assuming that you are trying to install software by entering a product key. this maybe a serial number for the software like windows or some application.

the product key on the bottom of the acer, may not have anything to do with the product key you need to install the software.

that product key may be on the installing dvd, or you may have to ask your dealer for the serial number.

Dear Kisoccergirl, the number on the bottom of your laptop isn't a valid Word product key. If your software is Microsoft genuine you can get the serial key from the software cd case or from the product manual.

so what is it that you are trying to do ...register it or stop the message from popping up? to register it you need to enter your serial number that came with the laptop for office...no one is going to give you a serial number if thats what you are asking thats software piracy and you are on the wrong website...if you need a software key you should contact microsoft

the product key is asked for at the start of the operating system installation, the product key code no. is always on the underside of notebooks as 9 times out of 10 they don't come with a cd, if you have a cd, and your notebook has a number on the underside you can use this number
