As printer is able to make a copy. It seems that printer hardware is working fine and issue is related with false error message on printer software.

Please run "print diagnostic utility" to resolve the issue.

Click on above link to open the web page >>>> click "download" >>>> click "run" >>>> again click "run" >>>> click "diagnose"

This utility will provide a list of problems and options to fix them.

Please try. Wish for all success..

My hp deskjet f4140 keeps showing a paper jam and won't print the page I need, there isn't a paper jam.

There is probably a problem with the position of the cartridge carriage. Try reinstalling the cartridge and make sure that the carriage is in the center of the cartridge access area and the center of the cartridge assembly bar. If it is not try moving the cartridge assembly in either direction and restore the printer for printing. Note any sounds as the cartridge attempts to go to its home position. Any grinding noise may indicate that the position of the cartridge needs to be adjusted. Be patient and adjust the cartridge position again until no grinding sounds are heard. It may help to unplug the printer for 30 seconds between adjustments. Good Luck!

You have a paper jam. get a torch and thoroughly check doen behind unit where paper goes after removing all paper. Oopen cover, let carriage move, once settled, check everywhere her too, all around, rollers, near carriage, teeth, sides, etc, and remember it can be the tiniest slip easily missed. Good luck.
