Try pressing your numlock (top left of the keypad) and try the numbers again. Try your keyboard in another computer -- if they still dont work, you have a hardware failure ... time for another keyboard. If it works on another computer, then I would recommend right-clicking on "My Computer" and selecting "Manage". Go into the hardware manager, and delete your keyboard, and reboot. The Windows will find your keyboard and reinstall the drivers, hopefully resetting whatever configuration was previously blocking your keypad keys.
one of the F keys turns certain keys on the right side to number keys, so it can act like a full size keyboard with the 10 key panel on the right.. Look carefully at the F keys to determine which one it is. Or consult the manual.
before you can use the number on the right side of the keyboard, the numlock on the keyboard must be on. i.e the first key on the numeric keypad must be pressed once for the light to come on.
You probably activated the "Num Lock" accidently. Just hold down the FN and look for the key that says "num lock" Now you should have your keyboard back and the numbers will just type when you hit the numbers key. I did this to myself yesterday!
1. Right click my computer then properties then hard ware. then device
manager. See keyboard is listed against + sign, if yes expand it and
see "Standard101/102-key or standard Microsoft manual PS/2 keyboard. If
Yes the right click on it and update driver. If problem is not solved
click on properties ans see device status " device is working properly.
Further try to uninstall and remove USB or PS/2 cable and reinstall .
Reboot the system.
have you tried using the numeric pad while the num lock key is turned on? if this doesnt resolve your problem, you're gonna need a replacement keyboard.
haha thanks
