Burning video from Sony Handycam DCR-DVD105 DVD Camcorder?

My Sony Handycam DCR-DVD105 DVD Camcorder uses 80mm (8cm) DVDs. I have about eight of these DVDs with 30 minutes of video on each of them.

I put the videos on my computer, by copy and psting the files from each of the DVDs into a seperate folder. I now have eight folders (one for each DVD) each containing VOB, .ifo, .bup and VIDEO_TS files. I want to burn all of these folders onto one or two standard size DVDs. But when I use Nero to burn the files, it dosen't recognize the VOB, .ifo, .bup and VIDEO_TS files. How can I burn them? I don't want to copy each of the mini DVDs onto one standard size DVD, because they only have 30 minutes of video on each of them.

Thank you!

Sounds like you have conflicting file associations, which means that some types of files open in one player and others in another. However, this isn't your main problem.

To play the DVD file on the pc you need to have the .ifo, .vob and the .bup files in the same directory as well as the video_ts files etc. Easiest way to do it is to copy ALL of the files from each disk to a folder on the pc, then you can play them from there and format your disks ready to be re-used.

If you'd like further help with converting the format and sorting out your file associations please post again but the above information should cure your immediate problem.

Dear Magician1506
You should copy all mini dvds/ files on to computer system HD and please use any good quality dvd burning software and make new menu.

i dont think that you can keep the menus from each mini dvd. but you can create your own dvd video with menu and at the same time you can merge all of your mini dvds. After you upload the mini dvd videos to your computer then use Nero 8 or 9 Software. On Nero look for dvd editable and browse your dvd videos then do as the instructions says to you. you should burn that with one DVD disc with menus of your own choice

SONY HANDYCAM DCR-DVD105 ERROR MSG C:13:02

Try to use a cotton swap to 1st clean the recording lens or blow gently on it. Place an empty disc in, format the disc, record a little scene. Turn off camcorder. Place the error disc in the camcorder, turn on the camcorder all the way to play/edit. If this doesn't work turn it to record and try to record. Worked for some of my error disc

How to connect a macbook pro and a handycam DCR-DVD105.

If your cam has a firewire connection, you could plug it into the macbook and use iMovie to transfer the videos over. You can also get an external DVD drive to put those tiny DVDs into to transfer it over.
