I have the very same problem as posted by simeoni. My idea about what the mistake could be, is, that the recorder can't read the TOC properly, because sometimes it says "new disc", although I know, there are tracks on the CD-RW AUDIO. I've tried to clean the discs and sometimes it seems to help, but I'm not sure, it could also happen by accident. The problem does not occur with CD-R AUDIO. Is it possible, that the energy of the laser has subsided? My Pioneer is 5 years old and I've recorded a lot of CDs.

SOURCE: I can not get my CD recorder to record

You should use consumer cd's that are rather expensive. You probably tried to record a recordable cd-rom (a cheap computer disc). It's not possible to burn a pro-disc (computer disc) by using your Pioneer, and that's why you got that message on the screen. Refer to the user manual of your cd recorder and learn what sort of blank cd you should use.

SOURCE: hi can i record on my pioneer pdr 609 cd without

Hi John
You should be able to record without the remote control; make sure you have a blank disc in place, then press the 'RECORD' button on the front; it should go into recording standby mode. When you want to start recording, press the button below the REC BALANCE buttons (the play/pause button, marked with a triangle and a II symbol) and this should get you going.
Try it and get back to me if not.
Hope it works!

SOURCE: I'm looking for a Service Manual for Pioneer PDR555RW CD Recorder

Here's a site that has the service manual and service guide (you need both). They have 2 copies of the service manual (the second and third links); you only need one of them.

The last 3 discs might be CD-RW which can be rewritten, but not all cd players will be able to read them. Just go to the store and buy some CD-R disks and re-burn the last 3 disks. That should solve your problem.

My Pioneer PDR 555-RW keeps reading Mon1 or Moni when I try to record my CD from my mixing board. I need to send this wedding music, and it is trapped in my board. HELP!

That's just a MONITOR indication. It means you can SEE the audio from the selected input on the record level meters for adjustment or other reasons. It won't prevent you from recording. Set your levels then hit RECORD, let it set itself up and calibrate to the disc, start your source and hit Play or Pause to start recording to the disc.

Pioneer PD-M501 6-CD Player manual and what magazine cartridge

The standard cartridge for the Pioneer PD-M501 is the Pioneer JD-M300 6-disc magazine, and you can find them at Amazon.com for $25 new. The JD-M300 fits a lot of different brands of CD players, not just this particular brand and model. And here's a link to a copy of the owner's manual: http://www.scribd.com/doc/22613342/Pioneer-PD-M601-M551-M501

My problem is when i record it show pro dish

Do you mean "pro disc?". Home CD Recorders are limited to recording on CD-Audio or CD-Music blank media. CD-R's are considered 'pro'. Get the right media.

If the CD recorder records data discs, and is not a CDRW recorder it will not record on them, also there would be no reason to record a audio CD if the unit records data discs

Can't get it to record

I experienced this problem a long time ago, i believe that it was because i tried to use a normal data cd-rw but the unit only reads audio discs. It has to be a cd-rw for audio only (will say cd-rw audio on the disc, whereas if it is a data disc it will simply say cd-rw.) Hope this helps..

Wont record on blank pc disks!

I had the same problem and found that I was using the wrong type of CDs. If you look on the CD you have to use the CD that says Compact disc digital audio Recordable or Compact disc digital audio Rewrittable. After I used the Digital ones I could record on it. I then tried the CD on the PC and it worked. You can look on the top of the unit and see the information if you still have it. Hope this helps you.
