Hook up sylvania lc370ss8 LCD TV to a lg lht734 DVD home theater system

I am trying to get the sound from my coax signal from my sylvania LC370SS8 tv to my LG LHT734 home theater system, I currently have them connected via an HDMI cable. How do I get the audio to the LG when I am just watching TV? The LG does not have a coax input, so I have the coax cable going directly to the tv, and an HDMI cable going from the tv to the home theater unit, thanks

Hook a digital optic cable from the Tv's digital ouput to the Recievers digital sound in. This should fix it. You might have to switch the input of the reciever.

Why my tv keeps freezing up and have no sound?

There is nothing wrong with the TV. It has to do with the signal from the cable TV provider. I got a new cable box and it helped, but still get some freezing once in awhile.

I have a Sylvania LC370SS8 (37" LCD + DVD) TV. It will stay on for about an hour, then it shuts itself off. The power light flashes while it's off (for about 5-10 minutes) then it comes back on... and...

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

Hope this helps

Universal remote

Universal remotes never work good anyway. You will need the original remote anyway to work the different functions for the TV.

The cheapest that I can find one for you is at, it's $32.95
