Question about Star Micronics TSP400 Label Printer
Hi, have the following problem:
Just put in new paper roll. Now all red lights are on, beep sound indicated that something is wrong and I get no response at all when I want to print. This happens sometimes automatically as well, usually helps when turning off and on again, but now nothing works. Pleeease give me some support! thanks
It's possible there might be dust and dirt inside the printer. You might try blowing some canned air into it, and if it's not too heavy, turn it upside down and shake it. Surprisingly, this fixes the problem alot of the time.

I had the identical problem recently with a new batch of ticket stock in a TSP400. It was eventually solved by cleaning the roller at the front of the print-head with alcohol (surgical spirit).
The roller had no visible dirt on it but may have been greasy, and the feed mechanism is clearly very sensitive to such things. It turned out that our ticket stock had been recently re-sourced and the new paper was slightly smoother than the old.
