- Hi,

no result with unplugging.I think the defect doesn't depend on the driver, immediately switching on the scanner it doesn't become ready.

Thanks.

Hi,

If it s a new scanner, have you unlock the transport latch at the bottom? It's a protection latch that keeps the mechanical in place when the unit is being transported or new from the box.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

- Hi again,

Any development(s) with your scanner?

Apr 03, 2008

- Hi again,

My apologies for the late reply and postback.

Most scanners of this design uses a proprietary glass-less transparency scanning - the transparency tray is a completely independent scan bed. Transparent originals are scanned using the tray that slides in and out of the scanner. The glass-plate in the transparency tray would at times require cleaning. In some cases, the tray does not slide in properly, you need to double check that it latches back in so that internal sensors would know that it is in (and properly). You may need to do this a couple of times to ensure.

Other than this, it would also be possible that the sensors are not detecting that the try is back in properly. It may be the sensors themselves.

Pls post back for any developments (or even the lack of it)

Again, good luck and kind regards.
