    Hi,

the scanner is several years old, it's unlocked and showed the problem unexpectedly after beeing unused for a certain time.

    Thank you and kind regards.

    Hi,

no result with unplugging.I think the defect doesn't depend on the driver, immediately switching on the scanner it doesn't become ready.

    Thanks.

Hi,

If it s a new scanner, have you unlock the transport latch at the bottom? It's a protection latch that keeps the mechanical in place when the unit is being transported or new from the box.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

    Hi again,

    Any development(s) with your scanner?

    Hi again,

My apologies for the late reply and postback.

Most scanners of this design uses a proprietary glass-less transparency
scanning - the transparency tray is a completely independent scan bed.
Transparent originals are scanned using the tray that slides in and out
of the scanner. The glass-plate in the transparency tray would at times require cleaning. In some cases, the tray does not slide in properly, you need to double check that it latches back in so that internal sensors would know that it is in (and properly). You may need to do this a couple of times to ensure.

Other than this, it would also be possible that the sensors are not detecting that the try is back in properly. It may be the sensors themselves.

Pls post back for any developments (or even the lack of it)

Again, good luck and kind regards.

TV power light blinks2 long 5 short

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

I'm surching installation software for agfa duoscan

Agfa discontinued its consumer scanner product line (SnapScan, DuoScan, Arcus), as well as its digital camera product line (ePhoto, StudioCam) in September 2001. Therefore, we are no longer able to provide any support. Agfa does not keep digital cameras or scanners, nor spare parts for these products, in its stock. A number of companies (such as VueScan) offer drivers that should allow older scanners to work with recent operating systems.

The solution is to buy a new scanner.

Good luck

I have a problem with installing the scanner driver Agfa DuoScan HID with Windows 7

Hello,

The driver could be outdated. Maybe, it's the driver which compatible with another version of xp. You can actually download the driver for windows 7 from the website of your printer's manufacturer.

LED never gets to on solid. Always flashes slowly as if in operation.

Thanks, but the problem fixed itself. After leaving the scanner on for a very long time, the LED finally started to glow steadily. Now after power cycle it only takes a few seconds to become ready.
