Question about Lexmark 2380 Plus Matrix Printer

Substitute Driver for Vista

I read (before purchasing a new computer) a suggested substitute driver for the Lexmark 2380 Plus on Vista. My bookmark is gone. I think it was an hp driver. Any suggestions out there? Printer still works perfect - its the computer that died.

Thanks in advance

Try to uninstall your existing printer driver first before installing the new driver. If that doesn't help, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for further assistance.

Productivity studio wants Msofts .NET Framework version 2 - The download says not good for 64bit PC - what is correct substitute? Running Win 7 on Dell Inspiron, reinstall following last PC death.

I suggest you install the Lexmark software using the driver from the Lexmark website. First, check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by going the Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. Then, download the driver using this link: http://bit.ly/dmlCyX (for 32-bit) or this link: http://bit.ly/9drb4y (for 64-bit). Execute the file and follow the instructions on the software. Thanks.

Printer won't print

Although Lexmark has not released a Windows Vista driver for the Lexmark X75 printer, there is a good chance that Vista will support your printer without the need for installing a driver (i.e. Windows Vista probably comes with a driver for your printer already built into the operating system). Windows Vista comes with support for 2.2 million devices and since your printer is not a new model, it is likely to be supported. Just try connecting it to a computer that is running Windows Vista and see if it is detected and installed for you.

We do have the drivers for Windows 2000 and Windows XP available for download from our driver database:

Driver for Lexmark z600 / Vista program

Hi zoha,

I did some research and found out that lexmark doesn't offer updated for the z600 anymore. They have them for the z611 but who knows if they would work on your printer you can give it a try, here is the download:
http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi

Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newhpdrivers(substitute your manufacturer in new name). Un-intall printer and printer software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop(watch for the light yellow bar at the top of window viewing pane, click on this and choose – download file - . Power down your computer. Reconnect the printer to the computer and turn printer on. Power on pc. Windows will detect new hardware and ask if you have the manufacturers install cd or a location to check for install files. Direct the wizard to your new software, follow the rest of the setup instructions and your done.

Trying to connect my printer to a new computer but do not have the disc that came with the printer. it is a hp psc 1310 all in one printer. Is there a compatable number thatI can use to get connected. ...

The driver should be available, but some printers are not supported on the 64bit version of Vista.

Download the driver from here.

If this is the case with you then you can substitute almost any other "all-in-one" hp inkjet printer driver from the default list in the Windows system and have full functionality on the main feeder tray. (It's the expansion trays that sometimes get messed up.) You can also substitute any generic deskjet driver and usually still print.

Good luck and be sure to rate me if it works so that I know your running.

Lexmark Printer

I am guessing your new PC has Windows Vista.

Although Lexmark doesn't have Vista drivers available for that model, people have had success using Windows 2000 drivers with many older Lexmark printers.

It may work, or it may not. The only other option is to wait for Lexmark to release the Vista driver. They are always adding Vista drivers for the older models.

You can download the Windows 2000 driver here:
