Like Q106.5 WONT PLAY

I'm afraid you don't understand what this product is supposed to do. It is not designed to receive FM broadcast stations. (In fact, it does use FM modulation to carry conversations between users, but that's a technical detail you don't need to worry about.) Instead, think of it as a short-range cell phone that only works with other FRS/GMRS radios like itself. Instead of entering the ten-digit phone number of the person who has the other unit of this pair, you both need to agree on a channel number, and then just push the talk button to be heard by the other person (as long as they have their unit turned on, and are not too far away). Anyone else with a similar radio will also be able to hear your conversation, by the way. There's no privacy. But, the minutes are unlimited and you only pay for the radio once (no service plan).

Can not understand what the other person is saying when talking to each other very muffle

Hi,

This is usually cause by talking or yelling into the mic held too close to the mouth, 3-6 inches from the mouth and always talk in a normal tone and don't shout. Oh! my poor ears!!! Ha1 Ha!

I hope this is of assistance to you.

Cheers,
Peter

Online manual for GE 35810GC3

Hi,

Have you tried the GE website?

otherwise, it will be very difficult to obtain.

Though GE is a good brand name, this doesn't apply to these little radios, which are mass produced in China, and therefore the manual would be very hard to understand anyway.

Try GE website before googling user mamual for GE 35810GC3 radio.

Good luck and good hunting.

Cheers,
Peter

I have a radio TK 701 H. The antenna is a homemade J with copper tubing. The power source is a Macromex transformer that has adjustable voltage. It transfers from 120 volts ac to variable volts dc,...

It's possible some of the repeaters you're hearing are using CTCSS tone squelch. The other people won't hear you unless you have the right tone selected. 15 V is too high for most radios. They're rated at 13.8, so turn you power supply down to something between 12 and 13.8.

We have an older model Uniden NOAA walkie talkie & I cannot find the model number. We want to order more and want them to be compatable with these. Thank you! Dona Jones 804-290-4800 djjones-02@cvty.com

They are most likely GMRS or FRS, should be 14 or 22 ch's.
Makes no difference they all operate on the same frequencies.
Any of them will work providing you pay close attention to the operating miles. some are 3 some are 26. but that is only Line of Sight. many people don't understand that. And same goes if they are for water use (Mairne radios) they all operate on the same freqs.
No need to worry. need any more help contact me at.

Poor transmission

Its hard to tell exactly whats wrong without some more detail. I am assuming that these are 15 channel FRS walkie talkies? If they are than what you have is 2 FM 2 way radios that operate in the 450 mhz region. FM is usually really clear at both close and far distances. With AM radios its possible for the transimission to be distorted at close distances. First you want to check if this is a transmit problem (tx) or a recieve problem (rx). The easiest way to do this is to listen to other peoples transmissions and see if you can undertand them and if they are clear. Push the monitor button or whatever function there is on that particular radio to turn the squelch off. What you want is to hear static so you will be able to hear other people talking on other handhelds that are using different tones than you or might be too far to break squelch. You want to hear everything. Check how other people transmissions sound..... if they are hard to understand like a transmission from you other handheld does. If the other radios you pic up sound clearer....try using yours again.... but give it some distance... The speakers in these thing are not the best to begin with. Try that out and let me know your results... try to desribe what your hearing in detail.... like "garbled" "distorted" "low audio" stuff like that so I get an idea of what your hearing. Try it out
