Toshiba Satellite A100 formatted. Audi device drivers showing yellow mark and giving error code 10 device could not start.

above the start icon which is the window icon on the bottom left is a menu and on that menu is device manager, click device manager and it shows list of devices, on the list is network adapters. Open that branch by clicking on the > You should see the network adapter. If there are any ! or X or it is marked as unknown then you have driver issue. You can use another computer to download the driver and install it.

have you checked the wifi card they can go after awile and need to be replaced.

The devices that have a yellow ? against indicated that device drivers was not installed.

You can download any/all the Windows XP device drivers for your model laptop from the Toshiba WEB site from their download page.
Make sure you enter the model of your laptop so you can get the correct drivers.

hi,
download the driver from http://tinyurl.com/b93nnvand then extract it on desktop with help of win RAR.
go to device manager and then update driver after cliscking on yellow marked high definition audio.

to download the DVD drivers and reinstall them. Post back how that goes.

Here's a link to Toshiba's driver download site. You'll need to choose the exact A100 model (there are several), then choose XP sp2 from the drop down on the next page, and it will give you the list of drivers for your machine.

Ok so im not sure if anyone i still reading this post or not but i have the same issue with a downgrade from vista to XP

here is what i did

i downloaded and installed then gave it a reboot and we have sound again :) not sure if this helps you or not but i will bookmark this post to see if this helps anyone so let me know :)

Download the sound drivers from the site given below, it will also help you to get other drivers for your notebook

first click on the sound drivers download linkk ,and than it will ask you to enter code which will be given in an image ,just enter that no in the text box and select download ........that's it
