Question about Computers & Internet
If i open widows media player that send error report( Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly.)
Try to resolve this with a restart first before you go deeper. restart your computer and make sure there are no programs running but windows media player only.
if same problem occurs, it may be a codec problem. you might be missing a codec. download the Gspot program here. It will help you detect which codec is missing. once you know which one, then download the codec by searching through the internet.
can also be compatibility issue with other software/programs such as nero, divx, xvid, voxware, roxio and the like. if you have any of these, try uninstalling and see if windows media player will work.
