Question about Nintendo Wii Console

1 Answer

Wii color negative & screen out of align

When I turned on my wii, the safety message that comes up was way to the right. Then the wii home comes up also to the right but all the buttons are opposite in color (everything blue is red, ect). I went to wii settings to change the alignment (I moved my remote off screen to do it). +8 is just not enough. The picture was still too far to do anything.

What connection are you using? Composite, s-video, component? Is the resolution setting correct for your tv? You have the choice of 480p and 480i.

There is no color

Hello
Please try the below mentioned process to troubleshoot the issue.
  1. Set the Wii console to output 480 lines of video.

  2. While on the Wii Channel Menu (main screen of the Wii), connect a Nunchuk to Wii Remote.

  3. Select the Virtual Console game from the Wii menu, then select "Start" to begin the game.

  4. When the game starts, press the Home button on the Wii Remote. (In many games, the music can be heard when the game starts.)

  5. Select "Operations Guide" from the Home menu.

  6. Press the Z + A + 2 Button simultaneously (the Z Button is on the Nunchuk). A sound will be heard if the button combination has been entered correctly.

  7. Close the Home menu. The game display should now be correct.

Disk slot blinks blue light on and off, even when not in use

this means you have an email/ message waiting for you. turn on your wii... when it comes to the home page look at the bottom right there should be a picture of a envelope and a number. click on that and take care of the messages. most of the time this only happens when you are connected to wifi and have updates waiting.

Freeloader

The latest Wii firmwares does not allow the Freeloader disk to boot in the console. If the games start just right, then that's the only problem.

Blinking blue light

Greetings,
This is to let you know that you have a message from a friend or that there is an update for the Wii. The most current update that was release a couple of days ago adds a new channel to the Wii that allows you to preview games and download demos. To see why the light is blinking just turn on the wii and go to your messages by clicking on the envelope icon in the bottom right corner of the main screen. Here there should be a message, usually from Nintendo.
Please rate me well if this has helped you.
Take Care,
-WN
