If it's the battery than you are in luck =). You can get a replacement on the official nintendo online store. Just type something like "nintendo online store" on google and I guarantee it will get you to your destination (sorry I forgot the website myself.). The site is trusworthy (duh). But theres a downside, if you live in Europe than I'm sorry you can't buy a replacement because they don't ship there =(, sorry. But if you live in the US or Canada you can start dancing. I hope I helped =).

When the power is turned on the screen lights up for approximately 2 seconds then the power shuts right back off..... The batteries are good and even were replaced just as a precaution. What could our...

What color is the power light when the system shuts off?

Red: If the power light is red, or flashing red, when the system turns off, then the system's battery needs to be charged.

Blue: If the power light is blue when the system turns off, then there appears to be a problem with the system and it will need to be repaired.

I understand you have replaced the battery... make sure its a genuine nintendo battery and charge. Also the port could be damaged or the ac adapter... take a good look at both for damages.
The port should not wiggle on the DS and should be solid.

If the orange recharge indicator light blinks while the system is plugged in and charging, then it is likely that the battery is not installed properly.

If you have ensured that the battery is installed properly but the orange light still blinks, check to make sure that the battery is a licensed by Nintendo. The only licensed Nintendo DSi battery will have the model number "TWL-003" (Nintendo DSi) or "UTL-003" (Nintendo DSi XL) and will display Nintendo's logo.

Gameboy not charging

Sounds like the cells inside of the battery are weak and can't hold the charge. If possible, try a known good working battery and then charge it up. If the charge holds and you can run the battery off of it for a while then you know the original battery is bad.

If you try a known good battery and the charge still doesn't hold then it could be the main board inside of the GBA is bad and you would need to get another system unless the one you have happens to still be under warranty.

You can also try a know good ac adapter at that point as well to make sure your adapter isnt flaky but if you can turn on your gba with just the adapter hooked up then more then likely the adapter is good.
