I'm sorry we got disconnected. yes you can roll back to windows media player eleven. Go to control panel and select and remove programs. when the list comes up scroll down to windows media player 12. Click on remove and it should tell you that it will roll back to the previous version after it is uninstalled. Now, if you recently installed version twelve, you can try something else first. Click on start them programs and select accessories and scroll down to system tools and then select restore. when it opens, select to restore to an earlier time and then when the calendar comes up, select the date you installed version twelve of windows media player, then on the right hand side you will see where your windows media player twelve was installed . Left click on that and they should tell you that it will restore the computer to the time before you installed windows media player twelve . your computer automatically set a restore point when you installed windows media player version twelve. I suggest using the restore option first.

Dell latitude wont play mp4 video

dvancavage,

Your problem might be missing codecs. A codec (compressor/decompressor) is used to 'decode' a video or sound. A video practically needs 2 codecs; a video codec and an audio codec.

To resolve your issue, try installing K-Lite Codec Pack Pro. This will ensure you to play all types of videos and music in your computer. Install the program without changing the settings if you don't know how to change them.

Also, I suggest you un-install any other Media Players that you have and leave Windows Media Player 11 (upgrade it to 11; it's free!), QuickTime and iTunes. Set Windows Media Player 11 as your default too so you can automatically play all the files you want with WMP11. http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_li...
K-Lite Codec Pack! Download the latest PRO version/ It's FREE!

Thank You,

The music videos won't play

Hi, the videos may not play if the Adobe Flash Player in the computer may corrupt or not updated to latest version. Please download and install the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox and then download and install the Adobe Flash Player. Please restart the Mozilla Firefox and visit the Youtube. Now the Videos should be playing.

Please search in google as Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player to get the download link for the Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player.

I am trying to convert a Windows Media Video File to an mp4 using the Cucusoft Video Converter Ultimate. However when I start the conversion I keep getting an error that say?s: ?Install DataExtractor...

See whether another converter program can convert the file to verify whether the WMV file is corrupt or not.

I suggest using MPEG Streamclip (http://www.squared5.com/) to convert the file. MPEG Streamclip is free, but the installation process takes a little more time.

Please try downloading and installing MPEG Streamclip and see whether that has a problem converting the file. If it does, then you know that it's a WMV file corruption issue; otherwise, it's a Cucusoft issue and you'll need to report it to them.

Playin video file

The possible cause is the files may be corrupt, but if you could play it before then the issue seems to be with the "codecs", install codecs for the same to play videos successfully (Install Klite codec), you can find it here "http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/".

Windows media player 11 will not burn the burn list

Thats an ongoing issue with the WMP11.
I suggest getting software like NERO.
You can also get rid of WMP11 and get an older version.
let me know ASAP.

Sansa Clip 2GB...WMP11 will recognize, but will not list in device pane in Sync mode...

Hah, figured it out! Had to roll back my version of WMP, which can simply be done by (in XP) going to Start > Control Panel > Add Remove Programs, and then click on WMP11 in the program list. Click remove, and it will ask if you want to roll back to the previous version of Windows. Click yes, and it will roll it back to the previous version of WMP11. Now, assuming you have an active internet connection, after you restart your computer, it will ask if you want to update your WMP. Click yes, and it will re-install the version you started out with, replacing drivers, .dlls, and anything you were missing before hand. Long story short, the solution was patching the holes in the program. I can now plug my Sansa Clip 2GB into the USB port, and WMP will recognize it right away (I can almost hear a small voice from inside my computer saying "would you like tea with that, mr. guy?" hah). I also found out you can have more than one media player connected at the same time! How cool is that? Great if you're trying to set up multiple players with the same playlists (promotional type stuff, business type stuff, etc.).
