Similar problem, was using computer and chatting in a Paltalk room and it just went poof. No light, no post, nothing, After a series of swapouts, I learned the power supply was dead. Connected a known good power supply and now the CPU fan runs and the one on my Video card, but still nothing on screen. Have swapped for known good memory, cpu, hard drive, power supply, monitor, keyboard, mouse etc. No cd or floppy connected just the minimum and nothing on screen. If you have no screen, you cant change bios, or any settings, and you cant load a new OS. This may be the last time I buy anything from Gigabyte. Looks to me like the bios has died or become corrupt, but no way to see what its doing. Suspicious which went first, the power supply or the motherboard since it now runs fans with a good power supply. M/B is now out of case and laying on a foam on countertop, so its not a short to case.

I've read your solution, but how can i reinstall my OS while nothing is coming out on my monitor, not reading my hardisk, disk drive, cd rom? No post even beep, nothing. Anything is nothing.....

Check the capacitors on the motherboard really well. Giga-byte mb's are notorious for blowing capacitors. Check if any of them have the tops bubbling up. If so I'd say the motherboard is trash. If you caught them before the system dies you can generally replace them.

My computer wont boot after i shutdown.

it sounds like blue screen of death. It must be going back to last known configuration when trying to boot up. Check your event viewer for errors. You may have a software installed that is for another operating system or a 32 bit drivers on a 64 bit computer etc. If you can remember the last software you installed uninstall it and see if it settles down. Incompatible ram or other like IRQ errors can cause this (if IRQ then move a card to another slot and boot up).

Gigabyte G41MT-S2P can't boot on cd/dvd rom (installing win7)

If both the HDD and the CD/DVD drive contain bootable devices, the BIOS will usually ask just before starting the HDD boot, while still on the black screen, "Press any key to boot from CD". If you don't watch for this (it's usually at the very bottom or top of the screen), then the system will boot to the HDD.

I was installing an ide hdd when i booted the start up said something wasn't in its place...when i shut down the bios get stuck on the bios f12 f9 del page.. is there a solution to this ??? i tried...

Hi, for a start you can download a manual from here:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=1903#dl

Try to check the bios again in the boot options.
The first HD has to be set as master and the second as slave.

Does the bios see the HD if not it has a fault.

You can read all about that in the manual.

Hope this will help you.

sound like you either have a dead SATA socket on the board, use another one, or at worst try a PATA hard drive, second thought is possibly go into the bios and make sure you have no previous hardware raid arrays left behind, sounds odd.. but i have seen it cause similar problems before.

There could be more than one single problem, the pc has to say something on the screen, if is not say anythyng chek the conection of the monitor or try the monitor on another pc, take out any new hardware wich you put recently or changed recently. that  could ba a problem as well.
