Question about Lenovo 3000 C200 Notebook

LCD screen displays everything in inverted colours

I have a Lenovo 3000 C200 Notebook (Model: 8922 - A16).
My problem is that the laptop displays everything in inverted colours. I have adjusted display properties in Control Panel, and high contrast in the display properties of Accessibility. I have also tried utilities like PowerStrip and various magnifiers. My video and adapter drivers are up to date.

    Hi guys,

    I emailed a printscreen image of my screen to another person, and the image was fine. Display and graphics cards settings are all correct and fine. Drivers are also fine.

    The problem hasn't showed up for a while now and I believe it is because I was leaving the laptop on 24hrs without shutting down or closing (no power management, just everything on)
    One day I got really frustrated with it, and turned it off for about 24hrs. When I decided to try and have another go, it was working fine. So I guess the LCD monitor was just telling me to turn it off sometimes, which I do often now, and its working great now.

    Hey there,

    yeah the solution for me was to turn the laptop off for 24hrs as I had been running it non-stop for a couple of months which is what I normally do with my desktop. I mean, I set power management so that the screensaver never comes on and the computer never shuts down. Laptop was always open, day and night 24hrs a day, I never closed it.

    anyway once I gave it a rest, it worked fine and so now I make sure to turn the laptop off at night and when we're not home

    sorry, probably wasn't the solution you were hoping for but that's what my experience was

    1. Do you have an external monitor that you can connect and test the colors out on? If it shows up fine on that monitor then chances are something is wrong on the hardware end.

    2. Right-click on the desktop and select properties. Select the Settings tab and hit the Advanced button. What entries do you have under the Color Management tab?

Hey I know its been a while since this was posted but did you ever find a solution? Ive read you have to replace the lcd but I just stumbled on some post about flipping the polarizer thats glued to the LCD. i dunno im having the same problem

Do Rick's 1st solution of trying the external monitor.

If thats messed up too then it's software. (Windows, drivers, settings, etc)

If the monitors fine then you've got problems send it to an expert at that point.

Unfortunately it sounds like you have damaged the LCD screen. Your only option is to replace the screen.

Lenovo 8922-keyboard locked up -how can I fix this??

Take the keyboard out and make sure the connection is proper! it could be the driver for the keyboard if not the connection!

Reinstall the drivers for your keyboard and mouse. Check it again. Sometimes, some games installed can cause this problem, in such situations uninstalling the games/softwares can get rid of it.

How to turn on s-video on lenovo 8922

The user manual for that model 3000-c200-8922 is here
I have seen these instructions for Lenovo laptops - specifically that the laptop needs to be off when connected and then booted to enable the S-Video - no details available on the IBM site I can find
  • Make sure the laptop is off
  • connect S-Video lead to your tv
  • switch the TV to you S-Video AV input
  • Switch onlaptop
  • Now press the fn key + f7 key together - do this as the system is booting
If that does not work, try going into the display advanced features - not sure if you have vista or XP or windows - post back what you have , and look for a setting for TV out

Hi nailah4200, if your LCD screen is plaid , please call the lenovo support hotline 1-877-4-536686. They will check the manufacturer's warranty and if it is active, they will send that pc for depot.

model number of u r laptop download the sound drivers and reinstall on u r machine thats it
