DC07 cylone not cycloning

Hi
Just got a refurbished DC07 today from woot (soooo excited!!)
Put it together and started to run it...picks up beautifully...but after a few minutes running, I notices inside the canister no cyclonic action going on....still picking up lots of dirt, but the yello spinner-blade-like thing is not spinning, and my dirt is not spinning, just sitting there in a pile getting bigger and bigger......I doublre triple checked all connections to make sure everything was snapped in correctly and it was.....is this supposed to spin all the time when using or do I have a problem??thanks, michele

Hi Michele.

The yellow tube with the fins on does not spin. So that is fine.
If you have pets or lots of fluff vacuumed up it may not roll around in the waste bin when using this is normal & nothing to worry about.
Just empty bin & start cleaning you will see the grit particles spinning but as you collect fluff or hair that may roll around at first but as more is sucked up it will stay still.

On the Dyson DC07, can the cyclone canister be COMPLETELY disassembled?

Hi Jeff, it's Jack at Dyson.

DC07's cyclone pack isn't designed to be dismantled. To ensure optimum performance, some parts are bonded together to create an airtight seal. It wouldn't be possible to disassemble this section of the cyclone pack without damaging the machine. We also advise against removing the cyclone top as it can be difficult to do this without causing damage to the internal bin release rod.

If you need some help with your DC07 you're welcome to contact us directly for advice. You can reach the Dyson Customer Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Vacuum throws dirt onto machine and not in it

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

It sounds as though your machine is blocked. This is why the dirt is being dropped back out on your floor and also why the bin is not filling up.

Simply follow the blockage procedure in your user guide, or on our website at www.dyson.com. Visit the support section and you will be able to download a user guide. This will also allow you to confirm if the machine is correctly assembled and that there are no parts missing on disconnected.

Kind regards
Darran

Canister will not release

I've done that.
There is a stem that runs down the center of the cyclone that releases the bottom. You didn't get that stem back in place. The only thing you can do is pry it open, hope is doesn't break, and put that cyclone back together correctly.

I've never broke one, but I had to pull pretty hard. Thought I was going to.

Good Luck
