I cannot access my files from Turbotax that I completed the whole return and there is an application error ttax.exe. It says in the description:';The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on ok to terminate." I have rebooted the computer many times to no avail. Also I took the disk out and blew off any dust from 1 week of usage. I lost all the hours I spent on my taxes for nothing? What type of product is this? It sure isnt easy for me to use for the first time. Please help me recover the stuff to file with the IRS. That was my next step after printing out a copy to review the return. Open the 'C:\windows\system32\tasks' directory. Locate and delete all files containing the word 'Rocket'. IMPORTANT: DO NOT DELETE the RTKCPL file. This is a legitimate Windows file. Restart your computer. The error should not return.

You can shutdown your computer and turn it back on,and log back in again. Click on start and all program, and turbo tax to see if it works. Your tax work file should still in in turbo tax folder in your C drive. Try shutdown and turn it back on first to see and let me know, and we can go from there.

In order to install your disk, you need to remove your AVG virus software and reinstall it later when your finished filing your taxes. There is a problem with the older versions of AVG thinking that TurboTax is a virus and it will block the installation of the program. Go to your control panel, and remove AVG completely. Reboot your pc. Run disk cleanup (Start, programs, system tools & click on disk cleanup) and check all available boxes when asked. Then run disk defrag (located in the same place as disk cleanup as noted above). Then put your TurboTax disk back in your pc and try to install again. If you cannot get the disk to install, you can reach us for customer support by going to www.turbotax.intuit.com. Click on the support link and then move all the way down almost to the bottom of the page and look for the box on the right side that says "Contact us". 1. Reboot your computer.
2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard. This will bring up the Windows Security window. Click the "Task Manager" button and then click the "Task Manager" tab.

did you get the right operating system for turbo tax...that might be for MAC...and you are using PC. check the system requirements...

second open the auto run file in cd using note pad..and you will see which directory the setup or install exe is.

or if you are upgrading to delux edition there might be upgrade command in your current version of turbo tax...good luck
