I can't say for certain but it sounds like the video head might have gone. The good news is that you can get the parts from Curry's Partmaster website. Perhaps cheaper elsewhere? The bad news is that video heads are not cheap!

I don't know how you cleaned the head. So I would advise trying again to make certain. I would recommend cleaning with Servisol Video 40 several times. If that still doesn't work I would assume the head to have gone.

You can purchase a VCR cleaning tape that will do the job. However the best way is to buy a can of Servisol Video 40 (small one will do and it will last a long time) then remove the top cover of the VCR. Spray the VCR heads. Shinny Silver things and any moving parts that the tape touches. If your not certain what to clean, with the cover off insert a tape and press play. Remove the tape and spray small amounts on the surfaces. If you can see a lot of dust you can wipe the heads etc with a cotton bud. A VCR housed in a smokers house will need extra work to get it clean. Once dry you can test a tape. If you see flecks or spots the VCR will need further cleaning.

Model NV-HD636 lines through replay picture. I have cleaned the heads several times. The tracking control appears to have stopped working. Is there any thing I can do?

If you have cleaned the heads using Servisol Video 40 and also any surface the tape touches and it still wont correct, your video heads could be worn out and the head unit needs replacing.
Have a look on the Curry's Partmaster Website to see if the head is expensive to replace, if it is I would say the machine should be replaced. Sorry if that is the case, but heads are the most expensive parts to go on a VCR.

Sounds to me like a dirty head, but the only way to know is to clean it. I would use Servisol Video 40 for the job (see image).

To be honest they are not much good, if it's worn out forget about it. Instead get some Servisol Video 40 spray and clean the video head with that. You can get it from Maplin (UK) Radioshack (USA) or Electrical parts type shops. Even seen it on Amazon!

Yes, the NV 370 was among the most produced and popular VCR machines by Panasonic. Ifthere is no color, only 2 reasons i can think of - 1. Check the Colour / B&W switch at t5he rear of the machine. It might accidently be on 'B&W' mode. 2. Clean the video Heads. Dirty Heads also show as B&W picture on this machine. 3. There is a internal circuitry fault (tho' very rare in this machine. If it is a circuit fault, then there is nothing you can do, unless you know Solid state Electronics servicing. And even after that, it may become difficult to service, as spares may not be available. Machine is a 20 year old model.
