In XP, click start, All programs, Microsoft update near the top of the list that pops up, and that will take you through the update process if that is what you are referring to?

Good luck.

When trying to get onto certain sites screen says unable to find www.t-zone.co.uk, why is this? please help

It's likely that you have some sort of adware on your computer that is redirecting you to this site. Unless, of course, you were trying to go to this particular site, in which case, your internet connection is not working properly. This could be a couple of different problems.

1. Your wireless router may not be working properly and you're not connecting well on wireless.

2. Your computer's wireless card is going bad or the drivers are out of date.

3. You may simply be getting wireless interference in your connection. If you changed your router's broadcast channel, it could fix this problem.

To check for adware, download microsoft defender or any other adware removal software and run a scan.

My computter closes the site when i try to downloads java

Is your firewall blocking blocking the website? If your are using any antivirus program bundled with "internet security" probably the firewall is blocking the java site. You have to make exclusion in the fiewall setting for the "http" site.

DOWNLOADED THIS FACE BOOK THING CALLED TATOODLE AN I CANT GET IT OFF MY SCREEN

i guess ur using a licensed and updated antivirus (i prefer avg/kaspersky)..!!
this is a common problem now days, probably itz caused by a virus/trojan..

download microsoft kb890830, install n run

also possibilities of:
u may not hv java runtime/adobe flash player/shockwave player installed..
the windows firewall is limiting the site..
may b ur antivirus is doing so..
some spyware/trojan horse also may play foul..
sometime it also depends upon the browser u r using..
mayb it is black-listed or restricted by using 'content advisor' (in caseof internet explorer) in ur computer by some user or the above..
may b it is being filtered by the 'phishing filter'..
there may b possibilities that the site may contain 'active content'..

the Software part:..

1)hv a licensed and UPDATEDantivirus installed (i prefer avg/kaspersky, remember, without updationa full version antivirus is useless)..

2) download, install n run microsoft kb890830..http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=AD724AE0-E72D-4F54-9AB3-75B8EB148356&displaylang=en..

3) download n run Startup Control Panel..http://download.cnet.com/Startup-Control-Panel/3000-2094_4-10039330.html..'remove allthe unnecessary startup items from here..(if u can't find what toremove, post me/us in ur comment with all the items listed in each nevery tabs herein)..

4) remove all unnecessary software from add/remove programs..

5) download, install n run 'Advanced System Care Pro'..http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCare-Pro/3000-2086_4-10399324.html..

6)disable the following:..
a)'AutomaticallyRestart' right click onmy computer->properties->advanced->startup nrecovery->(uncheck on the) Automatically Restart;
b)'ErrorReporting' right click on mycomputer->properties->advanced->errorreporting->disable error reporting->(uncheck on the) 'but notifyme when critical error occur'..

7) Increase the size of Virtual Memory, Initial: 1440; Maximum: 2880

if u r bot a professional, always better to seek advise from ur system admin/vendor....

I can get into yahoo mail but when I click on my inbox I get a loading sign and nothing happens

you can try optimizing your browser. if you're using internet explorer, click on tools > internet options. on the middle part of the general tab, under browsing history, click on delete and make sure you delete all temporary internet files and cookies. if it doesn't work, try another browser like firefox (download it for free at www.mozilla.com) or google chrome. if you're still having the same problem, then the problem is with yahoo.

Shockwave player

Try to download shockwave from this website. http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ and then save it first to your computer then run it. This is its requirement for PC windows:
  • Intel Pentium IV 600MHz or higher
  • Microsoft® Windows® XP Service Pack 2 or later
  • Microsoft Windows Vista
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later
  • Firefox 2.0

Also, I believe shockwave requires some flash updates on your computer and java update. Did you run updates on java and shockwave? Plus make sure that when you are installing shockwave you have admin rights and you anti-virus is not seeing it as a virus.

When i go to the site it doesn't allow me to enter my name or password. Therefore, I can't play. This has been going on since last night. what is wrong?

First try to remove all cookies from Your internet browser
If you are using IE7 or IE8 then its in tools-->internet options--> delete--> delete all
if you are using IE6 then it should be tools-->internet options--> delete temporary files then delete files

Some sites need Java installed in your computer. Somtimes some spyware or adware just deactivate java applications
so go to java.com and download latest version of java from there

if nothing works go to system restore and restore your computer in some back date when it was working okay

hope it helps !!
Good Luck ..
