HI there

Has it always been like this ?

Even though the lamp only has 200 hours on it , it could need replacement. It all depends on how the 200 hours was put on this unit. i.e. watching for hours at once - recommended.

Or in half hour sessions ?

At the end of the day the lamp of your Projector is the same as the ones you use in your house - it does'nt like being switched on and off for short periods

Lense hours

Hello muhammad
Projector's lamp life is said to be, not with the lens life. Lens is made up of glass. But lamp will go weak. the life of lame will depend on how much time the projectior have used. Normal life of Panasonic projector bulb spans between [1800 to 2000] continous use. It means, if we take the low life span of the bulb as 1800 Hours [1800/24=75 Continous days]. If we use it for 4 hours a day, the bulb may last for [1800/4=450 days ie 1 Year and 85 days] OK.

Your new bulb is not lighting.
Check the connections are correct.
Have you also tried putting back old bulb to see if it works.

The display projected is very faint. The lamp light is not blinking to indicate a problem. Is this an issue with the settings?

Check the bulb hours remaining through the menu. The bulb gets dimmer with age, so it could be close to life expectancy (2000 hrs regular, 3000 hrs Eco) and failing. The indicator light is based on hours only and will shut down the projector after (2100 or 3100 hours of bulb use), so it could still be the lamp failing or a power supply issue, especially if it's dim right from start up. Hope this helps.

How do I find the remaining bulb life for the Sanyo PLC SE-20

There is not a set time for bulb life. The projector will have a timer built in to tell you how many hours it's been running. I've had projectors that I've reset the warning twice before I've noticed any performance issues with the bulb. That particular bulb has a life of approx 2000 hrs, so go through the menu on your projector and find the "lamp timer" or something similar to that and do some simple math. :)

I have a Toshiba TDP SW80 projector. The image turns green after about 2-3 minutes of use. I tried replacing the cord supplying the image in case that is what was causing the problem, but it did not solve...

make sure that the you have the correct input per signal. rgb and component seem the same to the projector, but have different signals. reset the settings to factory default and select the correct input and match the resolution.

Epson LCD Usage

Hi, in order for the extend the life of the bulb it is best to turn the projector off when not in use, it will save the 2000 approximate bulb life hours. Another thing instead of projecting in high-brightness use low brightness projecting. Low brightness has an approximate 3000 bulb life hours.

Power Failure, How serious a problem and cost?

Hi there

You will either be replacing the Main Power Board or the Ballast Board ( Lamp's powersupply ) The symtoms you described sounds like a faulty Ballast.

Both of the above parts are fairly cheap to replace.
