Power problems My kids SpongeBob tv was working fine tonight, then it just went dead. I double checked to make sure it was still pluged in, and it was. Just then it started working again, and worked just fine for another hour or so. Then the tv lost power again and will not regain power. What could be the problem?, and would it be something to take back to the store? (The tv is only about 8-10 months old, and it has only been used the last 3 months of that).
That set only has a 90 day warranty, and would be serviced as a customer COD. The unit sounds as if there is a problem with the power cord connection at the rear of the set, or a more serious problem with the power supply...accordianman

I looked through the manual and didn't see anything either. I assume that you are hitting the TV/DVD button and setting it to DVD when you want to use the DVD. Does the remote do anything besides turn the TV on (change channels, etc.)? Hope this helps and good luck!
It looks like the movie file is corrupted or if you're playing from a dvd, it's not reading properly. You can try wiping the the dvd with a damp cloth. Make sure it is dry before you put it back. If it doesn't work you'll have to get another copy.
Sounds like it could be H.O.T which stands for horizontal output transistor or a fuse is possible. Another possibility is the FLYBACK transformer. Is there a local repair facility you could take it too? Keep me posted. Have a good day...Jay
well i just opened mylittle sisters tv and found a c922 capacitor blown ill be replacing this tommorrow and i will see if it works alot of peoplesay they have this problem
I believe that what you are watching are the responses of the portable DVD player on screen menu. How about just trying to get the tv to work for now, then try the DVD again?...accordianman
