Deleting songs from my sandisk mp3 player

I'm trying to delete songs off my Mp3 player and it doesn't even let you see what to delete on the sync list. It shows I have 94 songs downloaded on the actual player but won't allow me to delete any of them to place new ones on there? What have I done? I'm not real computer savy.....

You have to make sure that the device is on MSC mode...then make sure your device is plug in to the computer..Then go to programs - accesories - windows explorer, find the SanDisk in my computerDeleting songs from my sandisk mp3 player - 1.gif, go to media, music and delete them from there.
Either under sync pane in windows media player it will show your music when it's connected. just click the plus signs for what song you need to get rid of, right click and click delete.
Hope this helps
If you still not able to delete it let me know so I can have you try something else...
P.S.Please rate accordingly...
Thank You

I can't delete music from my Sansa e260

You can remove content on the Sansa itself by highlighting the song you want to delete, then down click and select "Delete" while the song is highlighted.

Also, there is a setting within the software on the PC that you can change to prevent the Sansa from automaticaly syncing if you don't want it to do that.

Deleting songs

Deleting Songs Using Windows Media Player
Use Windows Media Player to view the songs that are stored on your mp3 player - best to view them in the "Sync" tab. Find the song that you want to delete, right-click the song, and select Delete (or left-click and press Delete on your keyboard). Voila!

Deleting

Though you may not be able to delete specific songs, it might be a good idea to just format the entire mp3 player then put all the songs you have back in, considering that syncing songs do not take a long time.

I can't delete the doubles

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
-----
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx
