Error with 'Debris Filter' on Samsung WD-J1255 machine
Hello: My Samsung washer dryer has an error message indicating that the 'debris filter' needs cleaned. I've followed the steps twice now and half way through the wash cycle the same error message appears. When i drained the debris filter a small round flat piece of rubber came out (looks like a diaphram). The washer makes a somewhat loudish noise prior to the error message popping up and it's apparent the noise is coming from around the debris filter area. I can't identify where this diaphram piece goes. Any ideas??

How do I clean the debris filter in my front loading Samsung washing machine?. Open the filter cover(A) by using a coin or key.Take one end of the emergency draining tube (B) out.Open the emergency drain cap (C) by pulling it. Allow all the water to flow into a bowl. Note: hold the cap at the end of the emergency draining tube (B) and slowly pull it out. Note: you may need to drain several bowlfuls of water.
. Prepare a dry cloth. Wash any dirt or other material from the debris filter. Make sure the drain pump propeller behind the debris filter is not blocked.Replace the debris filter cap tightly.Reinsert the emergency drain cap and the drain tube.ake sure to replace the debris filter and emergency drain cap after cleaning it. If they are not reinserted properly your washing machine may leak or otherwise malfunction.Close the filter cove
The code your machine indicates means that the debris filter needs cleaning. To do this remove the plug from the electrical supply. Using a coin open the filter cover door at the far bottom right hand side of the machine. You should see an orange coloured plastic tab, pull this forward to open the door.
Warning: If the drum still has water above the door seal it will pour out when you open the door. If this is the case there is an emergency drain tube to the right of the orange tab, pull on the tube and place it in a shallow container. Then remove the rubber plug and drain the water from the machine.
When the machine has been fully drained open the debris filter cover (large circular plastic plug to the left of the orange tab) and remove any soiling/rubbish that may have accumulated there. When complete push the drain tube (with rubber plug back in position) back into the machine, replace the debris filter cover, and then pop the filter cover door back in place. Hope this helps.
P.S Removing the plug from the power supply also resets any error codes so that should remove the error you had as well as being a safety precaution.
ND error in your Samsung Front Load washer
indicates no drain issue. To start with check the drain hose for any clogs and
try cleaning it, then check restriction in drain pump assembly or loose wire at
the pump. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
An IE error code will appear if the washer has not filled with water in approximately 8 minutes. If an IE error code appears on the washer, check to make sure both hot and cold-water taps are open completely. After both valves have been opened, unplug the washer for 10 seconds and retry the wash cycle. There are filters on the inlet hose connections of the washing machine. They are intended to filter away mineral deposits from hard water and other debris from getting into the unit. If clogged, water will not flow through these filters into the washer. Turn off both the hot and cold water taps, disconnect the inlet hoses from the back of the washing machine, and clean the inlet filters gently but thoroughly
If your washer is beeping, and the display is flashing "Nd", your
debris filter may be clogged. To check for a clogged debris filter, goto back of machine, look for little door at bottom remove cover and remove filter and clean
I think I know what you mean - the machine itself does not have a lint filter and over time I've noted that it can build up around the large rubber door gasket. You will simply need to be more fastidious about cleaning it out after each cycle. I've had success using an old toothbrush dunked in some water to get the stuff out. The washer's filter (located in the lower left corner of the machine) only traps large solid debris. Hope that helps!
