Problems with Singer CE-150... the LED light #19 keeps coming on, but I KNOW it isn't threaded incorrectly..

I desperately need some help with my machine. I purchased a week ago and followed the manual exactly when threading. The machine's LED light #19 keeps coming on and won't let me do more than 10 stitches at a time. I have re-threaded, used different thread, different bobbins and re-read the manual 15 times to no avail. Have you heard of this problem before with other users? Should I contact Singer's help line? Please help me, I am ready to take this darn thing back to the store..

Thank you,

I just returned my Futura 150. I tried and tried -- I threaded according to instructions and over 40 needles broke. The thread was frayed and I purchased the highest quality polester 40 weight thread so it was not the thread. Something is wrong with that machine.

This machine uses a rotary thread break sensor. If you look at the top left of your machine when it is running the sensor (white dial) should be spinning. Threading around this part is critical. Make sure it spins when you pull thread through the needle. if it does not you have missed something in threading. If this is spinning and machine still stops it is likely the sensor is malfunctioning.

Use some thread, perhaps cotton knitting yarn? and pull gently through the path i.e like flossing every so gently... did the trick for me ;-)

We had a similar problem, the sensor wouldn't spin. Turns out we had a small bit of broken thread bunched up against the sensor dial. We picked it out carefully with a needle and it quit giving us the "thread breakage" error.

I have a Singer Futura CE-150 and it keeps stopping due to "Thread break error" but the thread and bobbin seem okay what could it be?

Either upper thread is not passing through thread sensor area or sensor is broken.
Second possible reason is that if design is not optimized the sporadic speed change provides thread breakage error even if the thread is not broken physically. Make sure your software is updated to optimize it automatically (Futura main menu->Help->Live Update).

Can't thread the bobbin on a singer futura CE 150

Be sure the bobbin thread is coming off from the left. There is a picture on my Futura bed that shows the correct way to insert the bobbin. If the thread is comming off from the right you will have the problem you described.

Good luck,

Singer Ce-150 Error 19

The top little circle you think you're supposed to wrap your string around - the one that you wrap the thread around to fill the bobbin -- thats not what you're supposed to wrap it around. Im an idiot, and thats what I was using. My friend Amanda showed me what I did wrong.. LOL

Could be acouple of things. The tension on the thread or the bobbin. The needle not in all the way. Wrong type of needle for the thickness of the material. My problem was always trying to pull or push the fabric with the needle in the material - cause a bend, then the tip snags the side of the bobbin hole. Snap it's gone.

As your friend suggested, check the threading of the bobbin, the click she/he might be talking about it the first rotation of the bobbin, then being snagged by the needle thread. Good luck!

I had the same problem and it turned out the tension was too tight. I had the thread spool holder too tight against the thread spool.

reduce the upper tension until the thread doesn't show on top anymore. This will probably solve both problems. The problem you describe is mechanical not computer related.

I have a CE-250 and I was having problems getting this message. After doing some research, I discovered that it was the thread sensor not sensing the thread. Try rethreading it or cleaning out your sensor area. It works for me when I get this message
