Question about Sony KP-65WV600 65" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I have the same problem, but I cannot get the lower panel off. I have removed the screws but it won't come off. Any advice would be appreciated.
Http://www.somelifeblog.com/2007/09/how-to-self-diagnosis-screen-displays.html says, "The Sony KB-46WT500 has 4 round male plastic connectors that plug into round plastic holes in the particle board behind the front cover. 2 of them are even with the middle of each speaker and about 4 inches away from the inner edge of the speaker toward the middle of the front cover. The other 2 are just below the top edge of the cover about 4 1/2 inches away from the power button - 1 on each side.
Just remove the screws on the ends and then pull enenly (sic. He must mean evenly) on the front cover. You won't break it. i realize this may be too lat to help you, but maybe someone else will be helped."
I hope that helps.
