DVD drive audio problem

The DVD drive on my T5048 emachine desktop computer has suddenly started to garble the sound on my DVDs. I have tried several DVDs. It played these same DVDs fine a couple weeks ago and they sound fine on any other DVD player. The words seem to repeat several times. The picture is fine, but you can't understand the words. The drive is made by Lite On It Corp.

What type of ram do i need to use?


Your eMachines T5048 PC Desktop uses RAM of specification DDR400 which is also called PC3200. DDR Stands for Double Data Rate.
Your computer is expandable to a maximum of 2GB

How to put the recovery partition back on the emachines t5048


As far as i know the only way is to run the restore disk from emachine that is for your model computer. (it usually wipes the computers hard disk in the process.)

on that site look for eMachines Recovery Media Purchase Program and you can see about ordering the recovery disk that you need.

My sound card is not installed on my computer because i did the recovery. where can i download one? it's a eMachines windows XP T Series T5048


Here's a link to the Emachine support page for your model. Scroll down to audio section and you should be able to download your sound drivers. If the sound still doesn't work after doing this download the chipset drivers and then try downloading the audio drivers again. I cant get sound thru my speakers due to missing audio devices or programs.


You should just wipe your hard drive clean, then..........

Install Fresh CLEANl Windows (Genuine Microsoft Disc).......Not the Software you got with the emachine......

You can borrow a Windows Disc of the same windows Version and use the License you got..... :)

then update the drivers.......

Never use anything but a REAL windows installation........without any other software (trial, adware, etc......) ALL OF PREMANUFACTURED PCs COME LOADED WITH ****.

Dvd drive no longer plays dvds on emachines T3410


When the CD/Dvd Drive becomes old the Optical Lense is not strong enought to read DVD because DVD is more dense than CD track. You can Try to clean the lense. There are lense cleaner available on the market.
