Can you provide the exact Make, Model and Kenmore model number? .......... Kenmore model numbers use the format ###.######## with the first three digits of 110 for Whirlpool manufactured machines......... The model number on top load washers is usually found by lifting the lid and looking above the tub. The Fixya numbers are Stock Numbers. Since top load and front load washers are very different, the actual Model Numbers are necessary to correctly diagnose the problem.

If you can pump out the water the pump should be OK...The most likely other cause is the main motor. If the drum is jammed it can cause the motor to hum and can make it overheat...You'll have to get the water out. There might be a small drain hose near the pump filter. This will let you test the spin. You may need parts so it might pay to contact a tech........Nomess

I have kenmore 80 series heavy duty/ super capacity plus washer that after it fills with water, hot or cold and it starts the wash cycle, I noticed that the agitator only moves once in awhile and stops

hum either a bad timer sticking the point contacts close. have u tried this in all cycles? and possibly a motor with bad windings not enough power to run agitation? try running in mild or gentle and see what happens? I was tempted to say the cam dogs in agitator but they dont work then stop then work, when they go out they go out.

I have a Kenmore Series 70 Super Capacity washer. The model number is 110.23712 200 (which doesn't seem to be a valid number when I do an internet search, but is the number on the plate on the unit). I...

Getting Sears parts 110.23712200
I will tell you what happened to me. One day my water valve quit. On that veryday my sister in law paid her weekly visit to wash her and my BIL's clothes. She bypasses 5 laundry matts to get here. I tell my wife we should not have a $75 water bill. So the water would not fill in the washer. I told her to get a 5 gallon bucket and fill it up then see how many buckets it took to fill the washer. 7 buckets later the washer kicked in and started doing it's thang. 35 gallons of water to wash a full load on highest level. Then 7 more buckets to do the rinse. 70 gallons of water to wash one load of clothes. I figured I had her cured from coming over every saturday just to wash clothes. But she found out I fixed it. LOL She has a washer and dryer at her house but IF she goes overs a certain amount she uses then the trailer park charges her extra for water. Soo she comes ta my house. Sweet.

Kenmore 70 series, leaves browb lines on clothes. is there cleaning procedure for the washer?

It could be coming from your fabric softner. I know when I use liquid fabric softner I get oily looking stains on clothes. I no longer use liquid softner. I also use Dawn dish soap in my washer. I use Dawn instead of any other stain removers. Dawn dish soap works on everything.

Kenmore series 70 squealing and leaking water

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

It sounds as if your pump is bad.

See the following illustrated description of how to access and check / replace the pump.

Kenmore washer won't stop filling w/ water

The problem is most likely the water level switch. This would be the case if the water is able to be turned off with the dial on the washer and not running all the time.

If it is running all the time and you have to turn it off at the water line valve, then the problem is a stuck water fill valve.

If you need more help, post a comment.

You can find information on the parts at partselect.com.

You can buy parts from them or find them locally if you want.

Thanks,

Tim

I have Kenmore 3.5 super Capacity, PART # 48102. It no longer goes full cycle, stopping during or just before the rinse cycle. It also no longer dispenses bleach or softner.

I dont know about it not going through the full cycle, but as for the bleach and softner dispenser problems, i had the same issue. About 7 months after i had this same machine,,, the softner would enter the cycle during the first rinse, which i supose isnt a major problem, but it was quite annoying because by the time the 4th rinse was over,,, there was obviously no softner left on the clothes. It was still under warrenty so i had sears come over. They replaced the control board, thinking it was a timing problem, but it didnt solve the problem. They scheduled me for another time, and again sent over a repairman who didnt know what he was doing. I being 20, like to take things apart and see why they broke or how they work, so i pretty much knew what the problem was. I told this second guy what i thought and he ordered the part, 2 weeks later came back after i had recieved the part, installed it, and PROBLEM SOLVED. So im thinkingthis could be the same problem your having. If you take out the detergent draw to clean it or for whatever reason, if u look inside, and up,,, you can see holes where the water drops from,,, and that is the part you probably need fixed. I really cant remember what the part is called,,, but im assuming its something like Detergent Dispenser Asembly or somethng like that.
