A135-S7406 Instruction for replacing Vista with XP

I purchased a Toshiba Satellite A135-S7406 that came with Vista home basic. Love the computer but hate Vista. How do I remove Vista and install the Windows XP that I have? Do I need to install additional drivers? I would prefer to remove Vista entirely rather than have a partitioned drive with dual operating systems. Please provide specific step-by-step directions as I am not a computer expert by any means. All help is appreciated.

You can download any/all the Windows XP device drivers for your model laptop from the Toshiba WEB site from their download page. Make sure you enter the model of your laptop so you can get the correct drivers. Use this link :-. http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp#
The latest service pack for XP is SP3, I recommend you install this, see if you can borrow a CD with SP3 because it is approx. 350Mb in size and would take some time to download.

You can only only find the drivers in Toshiba europe and you will have to to begin with the first series of you particular; your's being A-series, search for the last model number to support xp and VIOLA your home free =) I know this cuz I just downgraded a Toshiba Satellite A135- S2286

Installing Vista A135 laptop in XP wireless network

I would reinstall using the Vista specific drivers from their website:

I have had a lot of problems with HP printers and Vista on our network, but this seems to fix it more times than not.
