I'm trying to hook up a Playstation 2 to this TV (I don't have the remote for the TV) and always get a fuzzy screen and "No Input Signal," no matter what auto presets I try. (the PS2 hooks up with the red/yellow/white three-way cord. I also have a Nintendo 64 hooked up to it, which hooks up with the older kind of cord--a round metal plug with a little needle inside--and for some reason that one works fine.) Is there any way to set the TV so it can find PS2 input...without buying a universal remote?

Re: TV does not recognize PS2 input
On the TV you should have a video, input or mode button. If you press that button while the PS2 is on it should pickup the signal. You need to be in video mode instead of cable mode since you are using the red, yellow, white cables. Many TVs have a few video modes so press it wait a few seconds and try again if it does not work. Hope this helps:)

New tv's don't use dead channels like 00 anymore for there inputs.. They use sources to change from different inputs.. Make sure you have your ps2 hooked up into input plugs on the tv and then turn it on the ps2 then look on the new controller for the tv & find a button saying source .. Press that until you see your ps2 on the screen. If not check your connections try again.
Ur girl friend clean around did she unplug the tv.Replug it back later?Bet u she did, that why the tv universal codes is gone.Reprogram ur tv unverisal codes again should solved this problems.Tries push the manual control button channel up like one or two times tv will be in input video again like video 1 or 2.
I'm not familiar with Playstation 2 outputs, but you need to change the channel on your GE TV to 90 or 91, which corresponds to the S-Video or the Video Input (RCA input--not digital component video), respectively--depending on which you're using. OR if you're using the standard coaxial input you should just need to turn the TV channel to 3 or 4, whichever one corresponds to the output of your Playstation 2.
Do you have the remote? You will need to cycle through the inputs to get to video 1 or 3. You might have the buttons on the front of your tv that says tv/video or tv/vcr. If not go down the channels past 1 and it might automatically switch through the video input selections. For any of these solutions have the PS2 plugged into video 1 and turned on. Hope this helps.
Okay...you have a place on your remote which says input or tv/vcr or something like that. You may also have an input menu. You've got to find that. Right now, you're set on one or more of the component (a/v) inputs your set has. You've got to move that back to the tv input. If you are using a cable input or antenna input...these use one connector with a screw on fitting on it.
If you have a tv that does not have cable input...antenna cable, you'll need a balun adapter. Available at any electronics store. If you're trying to input rca style plugs...not every tv has this...especially if more than 10 years old.
If you want to use a PS2 with an RCA stereo monitor Colortrak plus television, folllow these steps:
1.Buy a universal remote compatible with RCA televisions if you don't have the original.
2.If your remote needs programming, program it with the manual provided.
5.Goto Alarm Channel
6.Set Alarm Channel to 00
8.Goto channel 00 on the television by using the remote.
9.You should be in AV mode, and able to play your PS2.
P.S. I don't know if you need to set Alarm Channel to 00, but that's how i did it.
I have a ps2 also so just hook up the yellow and white plugs. It will work if you connect those 2 right but you must have a remote to turn it to game mode or no lucc. This is where i'm at right now trying to find my remote..hahaha
