You can try to check if the problem is near flyback transformer
you ha to disconnect the power cord , open tv and locate power
transistor for generate high voltage it is near the big four connector
cable the transistore you have to dissolder from board and check
with multimeter if it is shorted or not in this way base to collector
junction about 500 or more base emitter the same  collector to emittor open - delfo

I have a 65 inch samsung tv . Model #UN65KU6290FXZA it shut off on its own and won't come back on . No light on bottom of tv either. No surge and outlet works good. Still tv won't turn on

Its either the main board or power board, if you have a multi meter and are ok around higher DC voltage I can give you somethings to test to see what board it is, or take it in for service but expect to spend 100 plus on repairs, chances are it will be closer to 150

Having Back light issue with Insignia TV model NS-50D40SNA14. Can see picture faintly in darkened room and have sound.

Are you sure your meter is accurate? Chances are the set wouldn't power up at all with only 4 volt standby, as it takes 5 volts for the processor to work that turns the set on. Try testing the meter on a car battery and see if you get about 12.5 volts without it running

My RCA 39 inch LED TV has sound but no picture. I have 7volts stand by. What board do I need to replace? Thanks

Standby only turns the set on and you have sound so there isn't an issue with that, although 7 volts is a little high but it may be an inaccurate meter..try the flashlight test and see if you can see an image

There is sound but no picture. No backlights but can see a picture in dark with flashlight test. LED panel # is D460D3-6Y43-COX. What part would I need to purchase? T

You have check the power supply first .To know how to check the power supply watch the following video. Normally led tvs power supply contains the led drive circuit too. Bot are integrated in the same board. The led drives circuit should have between 30 to 120 volts from the power section depending up on the brand and model number of the TV. If the the voltage is ok then you have problem with the Led driver section section. Either you can try to repair it or can buy a new power board.

I have pictures on my 50" but sound

Look up the model of your tv. A lot of the problem on these 50 inch tvs can be fixed pretty quick. If you know how to safely use a multi-meter the first thing I would do is unscrew the back of the tv and check all fuses. Only do this after you have checked all connections going into and coming out of the tv to make sure they are secure. MAKE SURE IF YOU DO ANY TESTING THAT THE TV HAS BEEN OFF AND UNPLUGGED FOR AT LEAST 5 MINS. once you get the back off check for any obvious burn marks, bulged or leaking capacitors and fuses. If all checks out you will have to test further (if capable) or take it to a TV/ Electronics repair shop. Also check you tube for your brand and model number. they usually have some good videos

Battery is showing 13.5 volts on multi-meter but motor is not coming up to full speed turning light is ok. Joints. Wiring looks okjust not as quick as it was.6 weeks ago.chris

your battery may show the 13.5 volts but it is the amps you need to worry about in this will have to have the battery load tested, sounds like the battery has a weak cell or a dead cell.
