No. When I turn the back switch on, the green LEDs 8001, 8002 and 8003 turns on on the main board and then LED 8002 and 8001 turns off right after 1 or two sec with the relays. The LED on front of TV is Solid Yellow. When I switch the TV to ON, The front LED turns to solid green, the PCB LEDs 8001 and 8002 turns on and after about 7sec they turn off in the order 8002 and 8001, then a red led on the board 8004 turns on. After that The TV sort of stalls, I can't turn on or off through the panel button, only powering off through the back switch.

If it was a 1/2watt resistor and wattage goes above that value for a giving point of time your resistor will burn until it is burnt open. Look for a Elect. capacitor somewhere close by and check it. Check for component that could be shorted.

Are you sure there is no electronic interference by any other appliance in place?
Is possible to check if the noise exists when unit operates in another room?
Perhaps screen produses this noise.

Does the LED keep blinking when it turns off.. If yes then let me know exactly how many times it blinks so that we can disgonise the exact problem.. Count the number of blinks between each pause..

All electronic devices emit an electronic noise. Depending on the amount of electrical current running through the device there can be an increase in the amount of noise emitted.

There are 2 PC boards on the right and left in the back of the Plasma TV. These 2 boards connect to the plasma display panel and are responsible for providing the electricity to light the individual cells on the plasma. Each of these boards is connected directly to the main power supply of the unit. When there is a bright scene, these boards have a great deal of electricity flowing through them. Under this circumstance, you may detect a small amount of electronic noise. This is because the power supply is working harder delivering the amount of power necessary to these boards. The electronic noise you are hearing is actually coming from the power supply. When the scene displayed is dark, there will not as much.

If the screen is next to the wall, some of that noise will be reflected out into the listening area. It the environment the plasma is in an echo-rich environment, this may also cause the electronic sound to be more apparent.

Each of these screens has been tested and is within the sound levels listed by the manufacturer (under 40db). This value is the same for nearly all plasma manufacturers.

This type of electronic sound is completely normal and is not serviceable.

the problem is the power supply check it.

Are you sure that its the main A/Vboard coz it sounds like the main power supply issue to me. Anyways the mainboard is the large board usually located at the center of the tv. If you can remove the back cover of the tv and get me a high res picture of the tv I can mark the board for you.

My 42" maxent tx went pop and the picture is

When they say the board I would think the power supply board ( unless they meen the whole screen itself)is the problem, In my experience the problem may not be that costly, If it went pop I assume the fault caused the fuse to go ( the one inside the tv), if so it could be a small component . It may be repairable for less, at least get a second opinion.
Unless the power supply needs a total rebuild or the screen itself it shouldn't cost that.

Maxent 42" Plasma TV takes 3 - 5 minutes to sync after turning on

I had the same issue....thankfully, I had purchased an extended warranty from Best Buy...I had been in a panic, because I NEVER thought I would pay a grand for a tv, but I LOVE it...anyway.....I had the "Geek Squad" come to look at the tv....the tech took 30 secs....there is a problem with your Y-SUS (Y-sustain board)...it will need to be replaced...and...the tech called another tech, and he advised that the Z-SUS be replaced as well (apparently he had to go back to the same home after a Y-SUS replacement to change out a failed Z-SuS).....retail on Y-SUS is about $300...ebay has them for less than half that, if you think you can do it yourself...keep in mind that "Maxent" is a Zenith/LG product, so finding parts might be a challenge if you base it upon Maxent....hope this helps!!

Maxent MX-42VM11 won't turn on

I had this same problem it turned out to be the secondary power supply. This part is made by Samsung and used in Maxent and Dell systems. The part number is LJ44-00068A. It will range from $89 to $259.99 on Ebay. The Dell pricing is better.
