The clicking is the power relay turning on and off. There is a problem that is detected internally that is shutting down the set to prevent further damage. A common failure part that can cause this symptom is the Horizontal Output Transistor (HOT). While this can be the problem here, without seeing the set and taking measurements, I can not state for sure that this is the problem. If the set had a good picture prior to this failure, it is probably worth a detailed estimate from a local servicer. If you can post that estimate information, we should be able to walk you through the actual repair.
It sounds like you have bad solder connections in the Vertical circuit or the horizontal circuit. The Vertical IC may need to be replaced if resoldering does not help.
You will need to call a good TV Tech for this repair.
Most probably the IC504 (Sharp PQ05RD21) on A-Board went bad. This
model TV, including mine, is notorious for having this problem. The IC
is rather easy to find and inexpensive (around $2.50). Your main
problem will be desoldering the old one and soldering the new one.
our power went off last night for three min and when it came back on we could not get one channel. this morning my wife turn on our television and it worked fine. my wife went to turn it on tonight and it will not come on from the remote or at the bottom of television
