Hi connie

if this is the camera I think it is it should take standard 35mm film, if you take it to a good camera shop they should be able to verify that for you. 50mm refers to the lens

Film advance is loose and will not take a photo. can i fix this?

As ever, with mechanical cameras, DIY methods MAY work, if you have experience of this activity. A safer bet is to take it to a repair facility as it is, rather than a box of bits where you have tried and failed ! May be expensive, and not financially viable.

How do I load film?

The best solution is to contact the manufacturer. If you do have the manual that should tell you how to load the film.
If you don't have the manual, you should contact the manufacturer and ask for assistance.
A camera store should be able to help you also.
As a last resort go to a camera forum like this one and ask about your camera.

Hi I need to know where I could find a film for my Akira cam 7000 the size of the film is 50mm

50mm film does not exist.

As far as I recall the Akira 7000 is a cheap plastic pseudo-SLR usually given away as a "free gift" when you order things like catalogues and it uses standard 35mm film. A similar piece of tat used to be sold as the "Olympia".

It's a dreadful camera which is worth even less than the roll of film you put into it, but fine if you want to get in on the current craze for Holga-style photography.

What Film Should I use for Vivitar V4000?

try Kodak ISO, ( ASA), 400 ( DIN 27 Degree ) 35 mm film to start. if you like the results, stick with it. remember the faster the film the higher the grain. the slower the film the finer the grain, sharper enlargments with finer grain.

How do you open te Vivtar V4000?

I have used left/right as if you are holding the camera ready to take pictures.
I have included the instructions to rewind the finished film.

!/ Press and hold the film rewind button button on the right side of the camera base.
2/ Fold out the rewind crank top left of camera and turn it in the direction of the arrow.
3/ Once the pressure eases, the film is completely wound into the cassette.
4/ Lift up the film rewind knob top left of camera and pull it out to open the back cover. Now the film cassette can be taken out.
5/ Do this in a place away from direct sunlight.

Cannon lenses

All canon EF lenses (and compatibles e.g. Sigma EX) can be used with both analog and digital  EOS-bodies. Depending on the sensor size (usually smaller than a 35 mm negative) a crop-factor due to the smaller field of view must be considered.  Example: Canon EF 50mm/1.8 lens used on a digital EOS (40D, crop factor 1.6) equals a 80mm lens (50mm x 1.6) compared to analog cameras using 35mm film. Some digital EOS-models can also use EF-S lens-series.

Film = no light meter

jackson rook,

the speed of the film may be to high if your camera has dx coding contacts in the film chamber. otherwise---- film in camera or not it has no effect on meter operation. move the advance lever to the right slightly and push down on the shutter release button slightly to turn meter on.
