After connecting the player to the tv then you have to use your tv remote to change the input mode.. Usually to S-video or Component.. You can check your tv's manual as to how to change this.. Hope this helps.

Good luck!
Sai.

I recently bought an LG RHT599 digital TV recorder with 500Gb hard drive and DVD burner, the problem is I am unable to play all my VCDs that i had been using before. I can only play DVDs. I also cannot...

Unless it states in the user manual that it can play VCDs I think it's safe to say that it doesn't surport that format. Without knowing what connections the Cable TV has, I can't help there. But this scart switching box might help. You can get them on places such as Amazon. It also has video and phono RCA sockets.

How do i connect my insignia dvd player to my comcast system?

Since we don't have many details, I will have to be vague in the repairs. If you call Comcast, they would be glad to assist in installation.

Here are the manuals:

Can't get tv audio through my Philips HTS3510.

Here is the user manual and quick start guide:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?slg=en&scy=ph&ctn=HTS3510/98

Be sure your connections are correct.

Press AUDIO SOURCE repeatedly to select
the audio output of the connected device (TV)

There could be audio settings on your TV which you can select only Internal or only external speakers or both. Be sure the setting is correct on your TV.

Be sure your TV and your HTS3510 are not set to "mute"... Don't laugh... I've done it before...

My sony portable dvd player stopped working. The

If the DVD is connected to the TV properly using the yellow, white & red AV cable and the TV is switched to AV and there is still no picture, plug the yellow lead from the back of the DVD player into the green socket. If you see a black and white picture now the DVD output is on Progressive Scan mode. See user manual to turn off Progressive Scan mode.

WHAT IS THE BUZZING NOISE COMING FROM TV WHEN DVD IS ON

this type of noise is because some cable connection is wrong (placed or switched) or not complete assembled, check cable connections are according to dvd manual, and also check the tv manual to confirm that all cable connections are according to tv-dvd required connections.
If all wire systems is correct assembled , the next step is un-plug one by one of the dvd connections until detect the cable that is making that noise, and then change it with other, sometimes a defect is located inside the cable and this is the way to detect the defective cable. Remember follow strictly the dvd and tv connection instructions, this kind of noise 95% of the times is for wrong connections.
