Question about Pioneer VSX-D411 Receiver
Hi- I have a pioneer receiver vsx-d411 . My son misplaced the remote control. I still cannot get my pioneer to pump out digital sound even though I have hooked up the HDMI cable and the optical cable. Is there something I must do to program within the receiver? Switch from analog to digital? Can I program without having the remote control. Please respond as I would like to enjoy watching movies on our big screen Hi def and hearing digital sound.
Yes techtod you are right you do have to tell the receiver what you want it to do usually on the front panel you can access set up menu and go into input set up This is an example Say you plugged the dvd into optical one or coax 1 you must go to the input that says dvd click down till you highlight dig input and then select optical 1 or coax 1 there can be as many as 8 digital inputs so just check wich one you plugged it into and then tell the amp then you should be back to watching your digital movies
