Poor cleaning Hi, This dishwasher is 1 year old and, until recently, has been cleaning well. Now, the dishes come out spotted and bits of food remain. Wash arms rotate freely. I have tried both liquid and powdered soap. Unit sounds like it is running normally. Water is hot and of normal flow rate. Are there any strainers to clean? Any other suggestions.

The problem is hard water. www.dishwasherfilter.com has a product to solve this problem once and for all. It filters the water going into your dishwasher and removes the hard minerals that leave those spots. It is very affordable and even has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look with this product.

Brown sticky spots

sounds like you have an oil leak from the motor/pump assembly. this should be covered under warranty by the mfg. have a technician replace the sump assembly.

Dishes won't come clean

If you have dishes (typically cutting boards or really tall dishes) that block the dispenser door from opening, the water cannot wash out all the detergent during the wash cycle. Check to see that after loading the dishes, your detergent door has clearance.

Dishwashers need cleaning too :) Take a look inside your dishwasher: Click here http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=41284 then click on PUMP AND MOTOR diagram on the left. Number 47 on that diagram is a filter. Make sure that filter is clean. Then, using a dishwasher cleaner (see below) run your dishwasher through the entire cycle on empty. This should help, post back if it doesn't. Dishwasher cleaners: 1. Vinegar - good cheap solution, if you don't mind the smell :). Dump a gallon inside an empty dishwasher tub and start up the regular wash cycle. 2. CLR - I've been told it works, but never tried myself 3. Dishwasher Magic - This stuff works pretty good. One bottle per use. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/accessories.aspx?part_id=2675393&cat=62&rdr=%2faccessories.aspx%3fcat%3d62 Hope this helps, APP tech http://www.AppliancePartsPros.com
