I have a BJC-80 printer but Vista on my laptop. I hook up the printer on Friday and it printed all weekend. I tried to print something on Monday and now it won't work. I was trying to see if I needed to...

This looks like a driver problem to me. I've just checked out the Canon website at:-

Looked in their software download pages for a vista driver for your printer. I can't find one.

I can only suggest you go to this page, Using the "Contact us" menu, ask them where you can find a compatible driver.

I do not have the cd rom windows can not find the MF5550 is there any compatable soft ware that can install this printer

You can download the drivers for your model from http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=239&modelid=9516

Be sure to select your correct Operating System, and the drivers will appear for download. There are also links to Manuals and other related Documentation listed there as well.

Once you download the file, double click to run the .exe file and follow the on screen prompts for installation.

Printer Not Printing

Try updating the driver for your printer. Click this link it will take you to your printers page. When you get on the website, click Drivers and Downloads tab. Then pick your operating system in the drop down list. After all that download the driver and install it. There should be software and manuals on there to. Update the software you have too, after you download the driver. That should fix your problem if it doesn't leave a comment and ill try to help.

If you do not have the software, you need to download the software from one of the following locations:

Official Canon Drivers and Software

Canon USA:DRIVER & DOWNLOADS

After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the software that you downloaded.
The software installer will tell you when to connect USB.

Canon bjc 80 printer- no driver- ibm thinkpad laptop- compatible?

You can download the software from Canon.

Here is the page to download the driver from:

BJC Support

Click on the "Drivers & Downloads" tab. Select your operating system from the dropdown menu. (Windows 98)

Click on the red link for the driver BJ_v397.exe.

When the download window opens, select "Save" and select a location you know how to access after the download. For an easy way, save it to your Desktop.

After the download, connect the printer, turn it on. Then run (doubleclick) the file you saved.
