Hi.

You should be able to adjust the picture size in the set up menu.
It may be called aspect ratio.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Wii to a AVR 1610 via DVR input

"A" (single) component cable? Really? Not composite?

The source determines the aspect ratio of the video. If you decide to change it, that's your choice but it isn't accurate. 4x3 is intended to be shown 4x3. A circle will be elongated if you stretch the image to fit the screen.

Disregarding the black bars, is the geometry of the image correct? If so, why can't you just go with it?

If you want to change how the TV treats it, you'll have to refer to the TV's manual and controls.

Blank screen with other displays still working

1. By View your DVR, Do you mean you can actually see a picture?
2. By "Switch Channels", are these channels being tuned by the TV Tuner?

Your LCD Panel is OK Since you have a Picture (input display in right corner)
If you can see a picture with your DVR, VCR, DVD or any external source then your TVs Video Processing is OK....if not you will probably need to replace the responsible PWB for this function
If you can see a picture with the external sources and only the TV's Tuner is not showing Video, The PWB responsible for Tuning within the TV should be replaced.

Also, if all problems are associated with only the DVR (I assume this is Sat or Cable), then it is most likely that this device is not functioning properly. Possibly lost signal or deauthorized.

Page chaging

This DVR dose not support that...You can either see one camera full screen or see all 4 in a quad screen depending on how many cameras you have and how may of them are enabled.
If the Preview feature in the Camera menu is On, you can view live video on the monitor.
Video is displayed full-screen only if one camera is turned on. If more than one camera is
turned on, video is shown in a quad view. Sorry but its not going to be able to do what you are looking for...Pelco didn’t put that feature in their small DVR until the DX4000 series......Good Luck and let me know if this helps,

Normal Picture Mode Not Available With Cox HD-DVR (Motorola DCH3416) and HDMI Cable

With an HDMI cable connected, the cable box determines the picture size. The settings on the cable box must be changed in order for you to get the correct picture size. I have some experience with Motorola cable boxes; usually to access the settings you turn the box OFF and then press the menu or settings button on the box to bring up the display menu. Hope this helps!

Picture not to full screen

Try connecting just the cable to the TV and bypass the cable box. If you get a full screen and the "ASPECT" button on the remote gives you full operation then either you need to change the output on the cable box to 16:9 output at 1080i resolution (because it sounds like the box is putting out a 4:3 screen size)or in your customer menus on the TV, I believe there is a "AUTO ASPECT" selection? If there is and it is activated then turn hat off. Having DVR won't effect the screen size. It just means the cable box has a hard drive built in to it.
