    Hi, secklic

if it is just a standard CD player, then it may have a fixed level output. Alot of standalone HiFi units are built this way. What make and model is it?

Hi there....you have a CD Player, not an amplifier. The amplifier is where you control the volume. You need to connect it to your stereo receiver or anything that has an audio input, and the volume will be controlled on whatever you've plugged it into!

Hi, yer that model does not have an internal level control. Some Cd players do, but that one is a very early unit. You can get the owners manual from here. Happy to assist you further.

If there are no volume buttons on the device, and you know it is switched to the correct source, then yes, you'll need a remote.

I dont have the remote. is there a volume control on the system?

No. Volume for external sound sources is usually left up to the preamplifier or amp.

The remote is available here for under $30...

Arrange the volume of your jukebox without using the remote

In earlier models you plugged either the remote box OR the volume control box into the same socket on the amp. If you still have the volume control box simply plug it in where the remote is plugged in.

Volume Control??

Unlike low-end hi-fi systems where you buy one box that does everything, the CD player you have is part of a component hi-fi system (i.e. you buy your CD player, tuner, amplifer etc. as separate items.) This is why there is no volume control. It needs to be connected to an amplifer. It's on the amp that you will find the volume control and where you connect the speakers. (When you connect it to your television, you are just using that amp in the TV instead.)

The CD player did originally ship with a remote control, but I don't know where you would be able to buy one on its own. You may find the the remote does allow you to alter the output level of the CD player, but you still need to connect it to a proper amp to get it to work.

Hope this helps,

Matt

Info & Manual etc.

Turn the power off and then hold down the function button untill it displays time, then hold down the right jog key (not sure this is the correct one, you should try some other button in case this won't work) until the time starts to blink. Now use the jog dial to adjust the time.
