Question about Canon ImageClass MF5770 Laser Copier Printer Fax Scanner Network

Paper feed broken

We have a canon imageCLASS MF5770 and the paper feed will not load the paper. It now makes a loud noise when trying to make copies. Any suggestions? Or can someone tell me what the black and the white plastic pieces are near the roller?

I have the same problem. It works sometimes, but then will jam for the next 10 copies. I tried 24# paper but still have the same problem. Very noisy when feeding paper. Doesn't sound right.

You broke a part. It is a low end machine. The repair will cost close to the repalcement cost of the machine. I would replace it and start with a new warranty.

It sounds like you may have sheared a gear tooth off the roller drive or the traversing mechanism. If you are getting copies just leave it alone.

Error message to "Load Paper"

Push something thicker than a plain sheet of paper through. Cut a side of a manilla folder into a 8.5"x11" and let the printer try to grab it during a copy. After doing it's normal "grab the right side until it's skewed and stop", continue to try to push it through.

My MF5770 5-in-1 printer is demanding that I load A4-size paper. It refuses to print or to do anything other than scan without A4, even though I've always used 8.5X11 in. paper.

Make sure that you have the correct driver from here:

Did you put the envelope on manual feed tray, its above the paper cass.
I do not recomend to print envelopes from cassette, because of comon jams.

Red alarm keep coming to my (Canon imageCLASS MF5770 Multifunction Printer) and display message: CHECK PAPER SIZE AND CHANGE PAPER SIZE CASSETTEL LTR. please guid me through steps. thanks!!

Chances are the paper size in the cassette doesn't match the paper size (or alignment) that you've tried to print. Verify the paper and alignment of the paper match what you're trying to print, and that the paper guides in the cassette are locked into position for the size and alignment you're working with.

Won't copy document through feeder.

When you say it won't copy, do you mean that the paper won't move in the feeder or that no copies come out? Do you get any error messages? Try using alcohol on a swab or lint free cloth and clean the feed rollers in the feeder. They sometimes get paper dust on them and they can't pick up the paper. Also make sure that any paper sensors that detect when paper is in the feeder are intact. Occasionally they get stuck or broken. Hope this works.

Alarm light is on it says( check paper size) this is a canon mf57700

I had this problem also. I was unable to clear the paper size error. Finally I loaded the papersize that the printer was wanting (A4 in my case) and let it print. Once the print job finished it was back to working normal.
