I am getting ice around the door and the bottom of the freezer

You might have a torn seal around the door. CHeck that carefully and clean it with a damp sponge.
The model number is on a tag somewhere inside the fridge, usually easily readable so check by the filter or the light.

You might also have frozen coils, and might need to defrost it (turn it off for a day with the doors open) so get some freezer boxes and some dry ice to store your food and keep a towel on the floor in front of the freezer to absorb the melted ice.

Check the rubber seal inside/around the door. I bet you have a tear or piece of seal that isn't making a solid fit and it's allowing (warm) room air into you freezer. This moist room air will either turn to water droplets and builds up to enough droplets to form puddles in the bottom of the freezer, or it freezes into a blob of ice around the door seal and this allows warm room air into the freezer. Otherwise you need an Appliance Tech to check the Freon refrigerant level. Most times its the door seal causing this problem.

check the gasket around the door very likly that the door gasket has a gap or is not mounted so that will make the freezer run all the time,

door has to seal tight. also, there are door frame heaters called, "Anti Sweat Heaters." It is to prevent condensation and ice build up around the doors. Have that checked out.

symptoms you are describing are faulty door seals, try putting a thin piece of paper between door and frame to make sure doors are sealing,also when did you do a full manual defrost??(once a year even with auto defrost)

if its a whirlpoo at the bottom of the trim there are two slots use a flat head pull down and pry out

The excess frost in those areas is probably caused by leaky door gasket seals. They should be tight enough to hold a dollar bill securely all the way around. A defrost problem would start on the coils behind the back cover inside the freezer and would also appear on the back wall before it did on the door edges.

ice on top of freezer door they came out with a fix but does not work two vent holes on bottom of door seal mthem off with silicone moisture getting in if that don't work you need to take liner off and spray foam the liner cavities

Sounds like a door seal that isn't sealing all the way around. That would be my first replacement. Is the unit level back to front and side to side? Is it really full of food?

Call your local appliance parts house and get a magnetic door seal first. They aren't that expensive. But make sure you do not have the freezer overloaded, which could account for the lack of that vacuum sound.

Finally, is self defost? Even if it is, a lot of times the vent on the bottom in the back gets packed with ice. If it is, remove the food and use a hairdryer, being carefull to unplug the freezer first. Melt all that ice and empty your overflow tray at the bottom underneath.

The drain has most likely frozen over. It is at the bottom behind the back panel inside the freezer. You will need to remove all of the ice and run hot water down the drain until it is clear.
