There are 2 ways to delete music files. You can delete them from the player directly or using the computer. To delete music files directly from the Sansa player, follow these steps: 1. In playback mode, press Submenu button. 2. Select the Delete Song item.
To delete music files using the computer, follow these steps: 1. Connect your Sansa to the computer. 2. Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial connection. 3. Locate the folder where your music files are stored. 4. Highlight and delete the music files or folder.
Try this method ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hook up your mp3 player to your computer Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer" When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there. Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible. Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete" Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want. Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player. Good Luck, I hope this helps Please do not forget to rate me, Thank You
Music file problem:
Your music might not be compatable with your MP3 player.
If you are using it with mac and windows.
like you used mac to put the music on but you try to use windows to delete the files.
Mac uses a diffrent file system to windows.
make a folder on your desktop, copy the files that you want from your 'music' folder, and paste them into this folder. Then copy all of the files in the folder you just created and paste them into your mp3 player. Open the mp3 player in 'my computer' and just right click and paste. Your music files should go over. Once you are happy delete the folder from the desktop or keep it for further use.
my **** sansa acts like it has files on it, but it doesnt. its over filled by 33 megs, i dunno what to do
it wont format, its over filled, or windows media player says, but it has no songs on it
anyone else have this problem? how do i fix it?
try connecting in MSC mode of the USB settings - then using windows or mac or linux to delete files. In MSC mode the player should be recognised as a bog standard usb storage device. The files are have the hidden attribute set, so you must enable show all files in Windows or you won't see the Music directory they are in.
