Use mw9421enu.exe for the old Trackman Marble T-CH11. Newer mouseware versions do not fully support the Trackman Marble. Well, the mw9791enu.exe driver set works, except no picture of the T-CH11 model is displayed so a generic mouse is all you see. Use the mw9421enu.exe set to operate the T-CH11 with Windows XP.

  • Would upload the driver for all, but I don't see a place to do so. Don't think Logitech lists it any longer on their web site. A pity, since they've never come up with a (wired PS/2-USB) trackball that fits the hand and works as well as this old masterpiece. The T-CH-11 is still hugely popular on eBay.

  • Just found that a query of any search engine (Google, Yahoo) for "mw9421enu.exe" will provide several download locations for the driver.

Installation problems for keyboards/mice in XP

Removing the software and reinstalling it using a "clean boot" may resolve the symptoms you are experiencing. Booting clean is a way to eliminate programs from conflicting with installation of software.

1. Download the latest version of the software for your OS from the manufacturer's website.
2. Open the Windows Control Panel.
3. Open the Add / Remove Programs window.
4. Locate the listing for the keyboard/mouse software and remove it. When prompted to remove the keyboard/mouse drivers files, click Yes.

The following is the procedure for a 'clean boot' in Windows XP:

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Process SYSTEM.INI file
4. Uncheck Process WIN.INI file
5. Uncheck Load Startup Items
6. Click on the Services tab
7. At the bottom, check Hide All Microsoft Services
8. Uncheck all boxes in the window or click the button labeled Disable All
6. Click OK
7. Click Restart

After restarting, reinstall the downloaded software. Next, do the following:

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG--> Click OK
2. Replace checkmarks in the items that you previously removed them from.
3. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
4. Click OK
5. Click YES, when asked to restart your computer

Hopefully, you should not have any problem now.

Msi lan drivres

Hi

The term "LAN Driver" is meaningless without associating it with an Operating System and a specific item of Hardware.

There is no such thing as a "LAN Driver".

There are only XP LAN Drivers, Vista LAN Drivers or Windows 7 LAN Drivers, Mac OSX Tiger LAN Drivers. Mac OSX Leopard LAN Drivers, Mac OSX Lion LAN Drivers, Linux Red Hat LAN Drivers, Linux Ubuntu LAN Drivers, etc
Although drivers seem to mainly be about hardware, they are actually mainly about software. The Driver does not physically control the Motherboard's Devices. The BIOS and the Operating System do. What the Driver does is (just like a human interpreter for a guest who speaks a different language from his host), introduce the Device to the Operating System and help them to communicate with one another, with the Driver taking instructions from both and passing it back and forth between them.

So when one mentions Drivers, one must also mention the Operating System it will be talking to. In order for that to be possible, the 2 must share a common language. If they do not, then the role of 'interpreter' is impossible, because, then neither the Driver nor the Device will be able to understand what the Operating System is saying.

Identify the Hardware and the Operating system and then you can find the drivers if drivers exist for the particular hardware and the Operating System in question.

I hope this helps.

Windows 7 does not recognize the contour rollermouse. Is there a driver for Vista or Windows 7?

From Contour (makers of Rollermouse):

For Windows 7 system -32 bit.

We have a Beta 32 bit driver available, that should work with your mouse version.

Download: http://www.contour-design.co.uk/download.ashx?file=/media/38043/contour_pc_32_bit_beta_driver.zip

Please note the information in the document attached in the driver zip-file.

Windows 7 system - 64 bit:

We are still waiting for the new Contour Windows 64 bit compatible driver.

There is however another option:

There is a third party freeware driver that works in XP, Vista and Win 7 - 32 and 64 bit.

HOW DO i TAKE THE EEE PC KEYS FROM NUMBERS TO LETTERS?

Most likely the Number Lock is on (this is a small format keyboard and the 10 key number pad is sharing space with the letters). If this is the keyboard on the EEE, try pressing FN+Num LK. See http://support.asus.com if you need to check other keyboard issues like reinstalling the ACPI driver.

If the keyboard is one you added, you still need to find the NumLock key. Check the Logitech site if the above subject area is correct. (Just in case you need to use a Function key to force the lock to go off.)

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(Look for the NumLock key to the right of the function keys or near other keys like Pause/Break)

Logitech V320 cordless optical mouse-work with Win ME?

No, the drivers will only support windows XP at the lowest.

But windows ME will support a standard serial mouse, which are still available, the drivers are already installed.

Dead Micro-switch

If you have an electronics shop in your area I would suggest to go to them cause if the component is a somewhat common item then they wouuld have it and they could replace it. Problem is that the cost of the item would be cheap but the labor could be pricey so get all the costs upfront if they can repair it. Hope this helps.

Check the Speech settings in System Preferences. Your delete key may have been selected as a Listening Key. Disable Speakable Items. See if that helps.
