If Wii gives cannot disk read Error, first step you need to check is to tryanother disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problemis with either Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc readerror then it needs to be repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide, that will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself. Recently had D1 color screen. Now I cannot load floppies or disks. I keep getting error messages. I did re calibrate the machine. Any suggestions is appreciated. Thx

Sound like your floppy disk drive has failed. However, if you have a vacum that will blow, try blowing air into the disk drive in case it has some thread or other debris in it. Good Luck!

I have been trying to load down games from a compact disc I keep receiving a message that e:/ is not accessible, appreciate any help you can give me.

Try the CD disk in some other computer.
If the other computer can read the disk, then you have a "dead" CD-drive in your computer. It can be replaced, for about $40, by any "computer-geek" with a screwdriver.

The disk cant be read

try the disk on a different wii and load the saved file on memory card and try it from there.if the game works fine with another account then the account that your trying to load is corrupted.if the game does read on a different system then it is your wii.(doubt it but is possible)if the game doesn't work with a new account then it is the cd.

"No Disk" message on front display

If when you insert the disk you hear a whirring and clicking noise, CD spins, and does not read, then that is a problem with the DVD lens.

The DVD lens try to focus on the DVD track, by moving lens pickup and spinning the disk, but cannot read the tracks because the lens is dirty or defective.

Try first cleaning the lens with a DVD cleaner disk. And also if you can see the lens from the outside try blowing some canned air on it.

If this still does not help, then the lens pickup may be faulty, in this case you often replace the whole DVD drive unit inside the DVD player.

DVD Player Error Message

I have this problem.. I put in a DVD that I know it has read ok before. But, now it takes a long time trying to load and then it just stops trying and returns 'NO DISK" So, I opened it up and watched it try to load. The motor on the DVD drive was struggling and couldnt keep the disk spinning a the correct speeds. Now, I am looking for a drive replacement. I hope this helps.

Unit may have dust or contaminates built up on optical pickup. If you can reach the lens, try to very gently clean the pickup lens with a Q-tip. It is possible the unit has a defective turntable motor in which case you will have to have it replaced

Philips cdr 606 Recorder. I keep geting a message saying Reading and the Insert disk, after I have inserted a disk.. Tried different disks, also a lens cleaner but keep getting the same message.. can...

The problem of reading, insert disk, is that the mechanism of the player ....the problem is not on the lens its in your player mechanism. I suggest you that, in the mechanism which the lens are moving if u see a roller that is the problem and its already in dirt and dust..u better clean that by using a lighter fluid and then take the old grease change it with new one with good quality..after that it will be okay.
