Error code 161 means your CMOS battery is dead and 163 is that system date and time are not set (which make sense as the CMOS battery is dead).
You need to replaced your CMOS motherboard battery to resolved this issue.
These error message relates to the BIOS and it appears the BIOS battery requires replacing because it is flat.
error 161 usually BIOS has lost its configuration/ checksum error.
error 163 usually BIOS clock not updating.
Replace this battery and go into the BIOS setting and configure the date/time settings, and hardware settings (if you are not sure select the factory default settings) save and exit
I just dug my old 2635 out from under the couch and having the same issue. I'm wondering if the internal battery needs replacing - this would give power to the system ROM where the date and time is held. I'll let you know if I find anything.
