When you install a wireless mouse, first make sure your USB transmitter is plugged into a functioning USB port. Then make sure the mouse batteries are fresh and installed correctly. Once you are set, turn the mouse over and push the "connect" button on the bottom. Note: if your transmitter/receiver has a "connect" button, push that first.
I had the same problem till I discovered there are two buttons (not just one) you have to push to re-link the mouse and the USB receiver. Plug the little receiver in, push the tiny "connect" circle on the receiver (which is actually a button I guess), then wait for the red light to start blinking. Then press the little link button on the bottom of the mouse.

on the bottom of the GE wireless mouse there is a connect button make sure to push it one time then on the usb there is a connect circle hold it as if you were going to pinch it sounds dumb but I was just having the same problem and I read one of the solution fixes and it said to push connect button on back of mouse and also push it on the usb where it says connect even though the one that you push on the usb stick isn't a button but it is sensed once held with pointer finger and thumb hope this better describes it to fix it
Put the batteries in mouse and turn it on by switching the bottom from off to on.
There's a button the usb receiver. Push it. It will start flashes, turn over the mouse and you'll see a "connect" button. Push it.
a warning though, the product isn't good. everybody seems to be having issues with it & they cant get help from the makers of the product; so if you can, I would return it from wherever you bought it from. I got mine from walmart last night and I will be returning it tomorrow and exchanging it for a whole new different product
Make sure the batteries are good.
Turn the mouse over and find the small
rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it.
This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
