Screen retracts, then opens, and retracts, and does not stop
I used the e brake override on my VM9312, but when I was closing the screen my finger slipped and I pressed a button that said TFT test or something like this. now my screen does not stop opening and closing. It opens and stays open for about 5 seconds, then it closes and stays closed for 10 seconds. and it keeps on doing this.
Re: Screen retracts, then opens, and retracts, and does...
What happend is you turned the tft test on in the code menu,
when the screen opens the menu should flash up for about 3
seconds, when it does it should still be in the code menu. hit the tft test button again quickley, this should remedy your prob

You do not need to connect that wire but you need to bypass the parking brake function in the menu.
Here`s the parking brake bypass procedure:
1: Go into AM/FM mode 2: Hit "setup" on the remote control 3: Enter 543210 on the remote, listening for the beep for each numberentered 4: A new menu will appear. Touch the button that has the hammer/screwdriver on it in the upper left-hand part of the screen. 5: Select Brake bypass to "ON" and hit the "X" near the bottom of the screen. 6: Use the unit wisely and above all safely. A ticket is one thing, causing a fatal accident due to negligence is another. Hope this help Cheers
Here's a Bypass to solve that.
Turn your 9312 on and set to radio then Using your remote enter 543210 and make sure you hear a beep each time, a new menu screen will pop up, click the hammer and screwdriver on the upper left side,Next press the menu line for brake override, a
sub menu will appear, select ON,Press the X at the lower left of the screen and you're done enjoy and be safe.
Go to your radio tuner screen and go to your set up page then use your remote and press 5,4,3,2,1,0 and hidden menu will pop up then you will have to press the tool looking button on the left side of the screen and it will give you an option to it off so you dont have to hook up the pink wire.
There is no e-brake override code. You have to hardwire it to bypass the e-brake. Take the peach-colored wire and ground it to metal inside the dash. Put a toggle switch inline on the wire and mount it somewhere you can reach it. When you get the blue screen when starting a movie, open the switch for 3-5 seconds, then close it again to reapply the ground. Your movie will start up, and you can then drive away with it playing.
Here is the code: I did this with the remote Press stop twice(which is also the BAND button) Press 1,2,6,4 Press down 1 time(button below the Play/Enter) Press Play/Enter 1 time (You should now see the menu) Brake override should say No I was told to change macrovision to No Hit sys setup twice to save and exit Hope it works like mine did!
go to the radio press setup on your remote then press 543210, a secret screen will pop up press the hammer and skrewdriver,u will see brake overide put it on the on position, thenpress the X at the bottom of the screen, then your all set.
Try this (this is the procedure for the 9311TS model, which I have, and it should be the same for yours too) - put in a regular movie, and do what you need to do in order to be able to watch the movie (cycle the e-brake handle, toggle a switch - however you have it set up). When the movie comes on, using the remote, hit STOP twice, then type in 1264, and a hidden menu will appear. This menu has the macrovision toggle - turn that on. While you're in there, you can also disable the parking brake bypass (turn the bypass on - no more e-brake handle or toggle switch!). Then hit the SYS SETUP button on the remote twice to save the choices you made, and you should be able to watch the burned movie then. You'll also find that it's nice to be able to just stick a DVD in and have it start playing.
That is the code for the older jensen's
