Screen retracts, then opens, and retracts, and does not stop

I used the e brake override on my VM9312, but when I was closing the screen my finger slipped and I pressed a button that said TFT test or something like this. now my screen does not stop opening and closing. It opens and stays open for about 5 seconds, then it closes and stays closed for 10 seconds. and it keeps on doing this.

my jensen vm9312 works fine except that the screen doesn't want to come out any more. and when i try to open it, it barely comes out and then goes back in. I haven't even had it for a year. and when i do get the screen out, nothing shows on the screen. I've tried resetting it but nothing happens, what should i do?

My screen has parking brake on it all the time

  1. Make sure your Jenser VM9312 is on, and select AM/FM as your source.
  2. On your remote, press the Setup button, located on the lower right of the remote, you should hear a beep from your VM9312 when you press the button.

  4. If you did this correctly, a new menu screen will pop up.
  5. On the display, press the hammer and screwdriver icon, located on the left hand side of the screen.
  6. Next press the menu line for brake override, a sub menu will appear.
  7. Select ON.
  8. Press the X at the lower left of the screen.
  9. Enjoy, and please drive safely, for a ticket is one thing, but a fatal accident you have to live with is forever.

How do i by pass parking brake wire for indash dvd jensen vm9312 i'm puting it in old car no p.b.

Hi jason
To answer your question;
You do not need to connect that wire but you need to bypass the parking brake function in the menu.
Here`s the parking brake bypass procedure:
1: Go into AM/FM mode
2: Hit "setup" on the remote control

3: Enter 543210 on the remote, listening for the beep for each number
entered
4: A new menu will appear. Touch the button that has the hammer/screwdriver on it in the upper left-hand part of the screen.

5: Select Brake bypass to "ON" and hit the "X" near the bottom of the screen.

6: Use the unit wisely and above all safely. A ticket is one thing, causing a fatal accident due to negligence is another.

Hope this help Cheers

BackGorund Change on a Jensen VM9311TS In-Dash DVD player

There is no e-brake override code. You have to hardwire it to bypass the e-brake. Take the peach-colored wire and ground it to metal inside the dash. Put a toggle switch inline on the wire and mount it somewhere you can reach it. When you get the blue screen when starting a movie, open the switch for 3-5 seconds, then close it again to reapply the ground. Your movie will start up, and you can then drive away with it playing.
