There is a chance that you have faulty RAM module. If computer is stable on POST (until Windows boot-up) I would suggest to use some testing tools to test that RAM with your motherboard. There is a good program called MemTest. You can find it online if you search Hirens Boot CD. Download it, burn image to disk, put 1GB RAM into motherboard, start-up PC and boot from CD. Then you'll search for Memtest program. I would suggest to leave PC for at least 6 hours for testing to find out if it's faulty or not (better to leave for 24 hours).

Eject button no work. also will not burn photos or music, do I need to purchase a new one,? the part is disconected and removed from computer

I have a couple questions for you. 1. Does it burn anything? Data files like text files or exe files? If not could be broken. 2. Does it read cd/dvd's ok? If so it could be a driver issue that need to be reinstalled to fix the burning part. If it does not read cd/dvd's then it is probably broken and needs to be replaced.
As for the broken eject button that is more than likely a physical problem and the burner maybe worth replacing just for that fact.
Good Luck.

HOW I DOWLOAD MY COMPUTER PICTURE TO A CD

  1. Check your computer to see that it has a CD or DVD drive that is capable of burning CDs. This drive may be built into your computer or an external drive. Either type should work equally well.
  2. Make sure you have a CD that can be burned. There are two types of CDs that you can use.
    1. A CD-R (Compact Disc-Recordable) is a Write Once Read Many (WORM) optical medium. This means that once the disk is burned it can not be erased. This type disk is usually used for permanent storage. For example; a music CD, a picture CD, or any other type of data that you want to keep permanently.
    2. A CD-RW (Compact Disc ReWritable) is a rewritable optical disc format. This type of disk can be burned, erase, and then burned again. This type disk is usually used for temporary data storage.
  3. Decide on the type of CD you plan to burn. There are many different types of CDs that can be burned and how you proceed depends on which type you are going to burn. The major types of CD that can be burned are:
    1. Music. This type of CD is the type of CD that is normaly burned for use in a home or automobile CD player.
    2. Data. This type of CD is most often used to store files that can be used by a computer. This type of CD can not be used in a standard home or automobile CD player. They are formatted using the "ISO9660" format, which cannot be read by a standard CD player.
    3. MP3. This is a data CD containing only mp3 compressed music files. Because it is actually an ISO9660 data CD, not all CD players will be able to play it. This type of CD can contain a much larger number of songs than a music CD but can only be played on a computer or CD player specifically designed to play MP3s.
    4. Disk image. A disk image file is a file that contains an exact copy of a disk. The most common type of Disk image is an .ISO image. Disk images are usually used for storing an exact copy of a CD on a computer. By using a computer, one can burn a CD from an .ISO image and create a usable CD.
    5. Ripping. Ripping a CD is the process of taking the audio off of one CD and either storing it on a computer or burning it to a second CD, thereby making a copy of the first CD.

  4. Decide on the software you want to burn your CD with. There are many different programs that are designed to burn CD's. Some are built into the computer's operating system, while others are individual programs. These programs range from very simple to very complex. Some of these are free, while others have to be purchased.

  5. Burn your CD. Burning your CD is as simple as running the software that you are going to burn your CD with, putting a CD into your CD burner, selecting the data to be burned, and then telling the program to burn the CD

You can find the drivers needed for your motherboard here. http://www.uabit.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=32&Itemid=48&page=4&category=3&subcategory=219&model=305&product_name=KV-85 Download everything listed on the page. You can burn it to a disc on a windows xp computer by right clicking on the files and selecting send to, then your cd burner. I hope this has explained your question in detail.
